Prof. Friedrich Grimm was born in Stuttgart in 1954. He studied architecture at the University of Stuttgart and at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago in 1980. After having finished his studies in 1981, he worked as an employed architect and later on temporarily joined the scientific staff of the Institute for Building Construction at the University of Stuttgart. During his practice as a freelanced architect, since 1989 he took part in competitions and completed several multifamily houses in southern Germany. Due to a series of books, which he has written in the field of steel construction, edited by Ernst & Sohn in Berlin (2003), and one the subject of one family homes, edited by Callwey in Munich (2006), he was nominated a professor honorary in 2009 by the faculty one, for architecture and urban design at the university of Stuttgart. In 2016, he founded the RES- Institute as a completely independent think tank in the field of renewable energies. Since then he works with passion and endurance on projects matching the RES-Institutes obligation to provide blueprints for a friendly climate on earth. Several patents in the field of concentrated solar thermal systems led him into the field of optics where he invented a wide angel sensor, recording light signals with infinite depth of field in real time. Among his inventions there is also a new achromatic lens focusing light of different wave lengths, even x-rays. His latest invention relates to a quantum mechanical device which, making use of the electronic spin of quantum particles with spin number 1/2, to create a fluid dynamic equilibrium within an electromagnetically enclosed plasma of a fusion reactor, by a regular change of the spin's angular momentum.

Professor Marc J.M. ABADIE is Emeritus Professor at the Université Montpellier 2, Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc. He was full professor at the Université Montpellier 2, Sciences et Techniques du Languedoc and head of Laboratory of Polymer Science and Advanced Organic Materials – LEMP/MAO . He is currently “Michael Fam” Visiting Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Born in 1938, chemical engineer (1961) from Louis Pasteur University (Strasbourg – France), he successively got his BSc (1959), MSc (1960), PhD Dr 3eme cyle (1963) and Doctorat of Science (1972) in “Centre de Recherche sur les Macromolécules – Institut Charles Sadron” in Strasbourg with Professor Henry Benoit as President. His present activities concern high performance composites and nanocomposites, UV & EB coatings and biomaterials. He has published 11 books and 11 patents. He has advised nearly 95 M.S. and 52 Ph.D. students with whom he has published over 395 papers. More than 40 years experience in Polymer Science with 10 years in the industry (IBM USA, MOD UK, SNPA/Total France).

Jianxiang Wang is currently Changjiang Scholar Professor of mechanics in Department of Mechanics and Engineering Science of Peking University. He received his PhD from The University of Sydney in 1995. He joined Peking University in 1998, after doing post-doctoral research in Imperial College in 1996 and Aalborg University in 1997. Jianxiang Wang’s research interests cover fracture/failure analyses of composite materials, constitutive relations and transport properties of heterogeneous materials and nano-structured materials, surface effects in heterogeneous materials and nanomaterials, and the Eshelby formalism. He is Associate Editor of Acta Mechanica Sinica, and served as secretary-general of the 23rd International Congress of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (ICTAM2012) of the International Union of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (IUTAM), and member of Congress Committee of the IUTAM (2014-2022). Jianxiang Wang was awarded Excellent Teacher of Beijing (2009), and Honorary Visiting Professor of Cardiff University (2006-2016).

Professor Shia-Chung Chen is currently the Chair Professor ofMechanical Engineering and Director of R&D Center for Smart Manufacturing at Chuang Yuan Christian University, as well as the Honorary Director for Society of Advanced Molding Technology. He used to serve asthe Vice Chancellor and Dean of Research and Development at CYCU, and President of Society of Advanced Molding Technology in the past years. He received a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from Northwestern University, USA in 1984. After graduation, he worked as a Product Manager at Application Engineering Corp., during 1985 to 1987 and Cisigraph Corp., in 1988 in USA. In 1989, he decided to return to his home town, Taiwan, and started his research life at Chung Yuan Christian University till now. He was pointed by Ministry of Education Affairs as the director of Mold Automation Education Resource Center in promoting research/education related mold/molding technology since 2001. He receives many awards such as Outstanding Technology Transfer Award and Distinguished Research Award from NSC, National Invention and Creation Award and Industrial Technology Advancement Award from Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Outstanding Engineering Professor Award from Chinese Institute of Engineers. He is a Fellow of Society of Plastics Engineers.

Doron Levy is a Professor of Mathematics and the Math Department Chair at the University of Maryland, College Park.He is also the Director of the Brin Mathematics Research Center. He is a member of the Maryland BioPhysics Graduate Program and the Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Scientific Computation (AMSC) Graduate Program. He serve as the co-director of the NCI-UMD Partnership for Integrative Cancer Research.

Masaru Tanaka is a professor at Kyushu University. He worked for TERUMO Co. (Leading Medical Devices and Tissue Engineering Company in Japan) and designed novel biocompatible polymers and commercialized as medical devices such as catheters, and artificial lung and heart (Global market share No.1). In 2000 he moved to Hokkaido University and in 2007 he moved to Tohoku University. Stents covered with the self-organized porous 3D films are commercially available in the world clinical market (over 200 original patents). In 2009 he was awarded a full professorship at Yamagata University. He became a leader of Funding Program for Next Generation World-Leading Researchers (NEXT Program, Japan 2011-2014). Since 2015, he has been at Kyushu University as a full Professor. Thus far, he has published over 170 papers in peer reviewed journals (H-index 47), 50 book chapter, 115 others and has received 29 awards including the Award for the Japanese Society for Biomaterials. He has received the SPSJ Asahi Kasei Award for his intermediate water concept based on the role of interfacial water at material interphases. Intermediate water content is a good predictor of biological responses to materials and is used for high throughput materials discovery. His roles are design of biocompatible multi-functional materials by controlling the bio-interfacial water states, cell fate control by self-organized biomaterials, precision synthesis of biocompatible polymers and their applications for biomedical devices and tissue Engineering.

Gregory Lapicki compiles and calculates x-ray production cross sections (XRPCS) for protons and other ions that produce x-rays in atomic inner shells. These XRPCS are required for reliable analyses of elemental composition and concentration of materials as it is done with the particle-induced x-ray emission (PIXE) technique. He has developed the ECUSAR theory which is in excellent agreement with L-shell XRPCS for protons. In further studies, Lapicki plans to extend this work to K- and M-shell ionizations by protons and heavier ions.

Professor Wen Ren Jong is currently the Distinguished Professor of Department of Mechanical Engineering, and Deputy Director of R&D Center for Smart Manufacturing in Chuang Yuan Christian University. He received a Ph.D. from Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University, US in 1989. He used to serve as the Chairman of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chief of Student Affairs and Information Technologyin Chung Yuan Christian University. He has authored several books, such as IC Packaging Process and CAE Application, and Computer Aided Mold Design.He has been working on integrating CAD/CAM/CAE software for many years. Since 2001, he has developed a knowledge-oriented customized mold design/manufacturing navigating system. He uses the network platform to combine CAD secondary development tools and knowledge management and CAE simulation in order to realize standardized and knowledge-based design process. In the past ten years, it has successively carried out industry-academic cooperation with many well-known companies such as Green Point High-tech, Qisda Tech., Chimei Electronics, Hiwin Tech., Inventec and Walsin Lihwa Cor. etc. Recentlyhis research focuson developing a knowledge-based system with AI learning for plastic mold manufacturing and molding. From design, manufacturing to molding, it will effectively integrate and communicate with various departments, and integrate different systems such as ERP, PDM, MES, etc. at each stage to achieve alliance synchronization. The concept makes information and data transparent and improves the quality of products.

Chi WU, Ph.D., Wei Lun Professor of Chemistry and Honorary Professor of Physics in the Chinese University of Hong Kong; In 1982, he graduated from Chemical Physics in the University of Science and Technology of China. After obtaining his Ph.D. in 1987 and then remaining as a postdoctoral both under the supervision of Professor Benjamin Chu in the State University of New York at Stony Brook, he moved to BASF (Ludwigshafen, Germany) in 1989: first as an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow for one year to cooperate with Dr. Wolfgang Schrof under the supervision of Dr. Dieter Horn; and then as a permanently hired staff to supervise the laser light-scattering laboratory in the Dispersion Group, the Department of Solid Stat and Polymer Physics.

Dr. Gimzewski is a Distinguished Professor of Chemistry at the University of California, Los Angeles and Director of the Nano & Pico Characterization Core Facility of the California NanoSystems Institute. Prior to joining the UCLA faculty, he was a group leader at IBM Zurich Research Laboratory, where he research in nanoscale science and technology for more than 18 years. Dr. Gimzewski pioneered research on mechanical and electrical contacts with single atoms and molecules using scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and was one of the first persons to image molecules with STM. His accomplishments include the first STM-based fabrication of molecular suprastructures at room temperature using mechanical forces to push molecules across surfaces, the discovery of single molecule rotors and the development of new micromechanical sensors based on nanotechnology, which explore ultimate limits of sensitivity and measurement. This approach was recently used to convert biochemical recognition into Nanomechanics. His current interests are in the nanomechanics of cells and bacteria where he collaborates with the UCLA Medical and Dental Schools. He is involved in projects that range from the operation of X-rays, ions and nuclear fusion using pyroelectric crystals, direct deposition of carbonn nanotubes and single molecule DNA profiling. Dr. Gimzewski is also involved in numerous art-science collaborative projects that have been exhibited in museums throughout the world.

Professor Adam Weintrit specialises is a specialist in geodesy and cartography, and transport (Currently known as Civil Engineering and Transport). He has been connected with Gdynia Maritime University for more than 40 years (from 1980 to 1985 as a student of the Faculty of Navigation, and since 1985 as a Faculty member of staff). Following the completion of his studies, he began work as an assistant at the Faculty of Navigation of Gdynia Higher Maritime School. In 1992 he was conferred a doctorate in Geodesy and Cartography by the Warsaw University of Technology and in 2004 a postdoctorate in the same discipline. In January 2016 he was granted the title of Professor of Technical Sciences and has since been employed at the University as a full professor During the years 2003-2017 and 2019-2020, he was the head of the Department of Navigation, and in 2008-2016 Dean of the Faculty of Navigation.

Prof. Dr.-Ing Li-Hua Shao is currently a full Professor in the Institute of Solid Mechanics, and Vice Dean of School of Aeronautic Science and Engineering of Beihang University. She received her B.Eng degree in mechanical engineering from Dalian University of Technology, and MSc degree in solid mechanics from Peking University. She once studied in Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and received her Ph.D. degree from Hamburg University of Technology in 2012. Her research interests include flexoelectric effect, electro-mechanical deformation of porous media, surface and interface mechanics. She was awarded the first Chou Pei-Yuan Young Investigator Award in Mechanics by the Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM) and the Natural Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of Beijing Municipal. She serves as a Junior Editorial Advisory Board member of Engineering Fracture Mechanics, and Secretary General of Working Committee of Female Scientists of the CSTAM.

Jonathan Blackledge holds a BSc in Physics, a Diploma of Imperial College in Plasma Physics, a PhD in Theoretical Physics and a Doctorate in Mathematics. He has published over 300 research papers and reports including 17 teaching and research books, 24 patents and technologies to license and has been supervisor to over 300 postgraduate students including 72 PhD research assistants and 28 post-doctoral research fellows. After a career in the UK scientific civil service, academia and industry, in 2008, he was appointed to the Science Foundation Ireland’s Stokes Professorship, becoming a citizen of the Republic of Ireland in 2011. He currently holds Honorary Professorships with a number of research institutes and universities, including the University of Wales, the Institute of Advanced Studies at Warsaw University of Technology, the Technological University Dublin, the University of Western Cape, and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where he was previously Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research. He is currently Director for teaching and R & D programs focusing on Post-quantum Cryptography, Decentralised Digital Economies, and Data Analytics, working with SAS, Smart Data and Assets Limited and the UK National Health Service, respectively. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Physics, the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, the British Computer Society, the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and the Institute of Directors. In 2007, he was elected a Fellow of the City and Guilds London Institute for contributions to apprenticeship programs, and, in the same year, elected a Freeman of the City of London for his contributions to Economics.

Konstantin Matveev earned a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Caltech in 2003 and prior to that BS/MS degrees in Applied Physics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He carried out post-doctoral research at Los Alamos National Lab and worked as Senior Hydrodynamicist for a naval architecture company. Currently, Dr. Matveev is a professor in the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Washington State University. His main research interests include advanced marine craft, unmanned aerial vehicles, and liquid hydrogen systems. Dr. Matveev co-authored a book on Small Waterplane Ships and was recently elected as ASME Fellow.

Prof Kwang Leong Choy (D.Phil., DSc, FIMMM, FRSC, CSci) is a renowned expert in the eco-friendly and cost-effective chemical vapor synthesis of multi-functional inorganic thin films and nanocomposite coatings for a wide range of applications in transport, clean energy, engineering and healthcare. She has pioneered novel electrostatic spray assisted vapour deposition technologies which are low cost, eco-friendly, and enhance coated product performance. Her contributions to the understanding of the interaction between gaseous chemical species and solid substrates enable the control of nucleation and growth of materials leading to the deposition of films with well controlled structure and composition at the molecular level. This has led to the creation of high performance ceramic films, new nanocomposite coatings and the successful translation of technology from lab to industrial practice. Several of her advanced nanostructured ceramic coating materials and technologies have led to significant impact for industrial applications globally. These include ceramic coated fibre reinforced composites, ceramic thermal barrier coatings, inorganic transparent conducting films, as well as bioactive coatings. She has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications, including 4 books and over 20 patents in nanomaterials, thin films and coatings for structural, functional and biomedical applications.

Sadaqat ur Rehman received his B.Sc. degree from the Department of Computer Systems Engineering, University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar and M.Sc. degrees from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Sarhad University of Science and IT in 2011 and 2014, respectively. Dr. Sadaqat ur Rehman pursued his Ph.D. degree (Sept. 2015 – Jun. 2019) with the Tsinghua National Laboratory for Information Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. He worked as Artificial Intelligence Engineer in Schlumberger (Beijing Geoscience Centre) from November 2019 to June 2020, where he developed different Deep Learning/Machine Learning models for Drilling Dynamics Computation Engine. He is currently working as Assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science, University of Salford, Manchester, UK. He has produced a world leading research activity in the fields of data science, machine learning, intelligent systems (with emphasis on artificial neural networks), semantic multimedia analysis, optimization and affective computing. Junhui Hu received his Ph.D. Degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in 1997, and B. E. and M. E. degrees in electrical engineering from Zhejiang University, China, in 1986 and 1989, respectively. Currently he works for Nanjing University of Aeronautics & Astronautics, China, as a full professor. His research interest is in ultrasonic sensors and actuators, ultrasonic nano fabrication, ultrasonic micro/nano/molecular manipulations, etc. He is a Chang-Jiang Distinguished Professor, China, and an IAAM Fellow. He authored and co-authored more than 300 publications, including more than 100 full SCI papers (H index = 30), two books, 1 editorial review in an international journal and more than 60 disclosed/empowered China and Japan patents. He is the sole author of monograph book “Ultrasonic Micro/Nano Manipulations: Principles and Examples” (2014, World Scientific). He has given more than 30 keynote/invited lectures at international conferences, and his research work has been highlighted by 7 international scientific media. Johan Debayle received his M.Sc., Ph.D. and Habilitation degrees in the field of image processing and analysis, in 2002, 2005 and 2012 respectively. Currently, he is a Full Professor at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Saint-Etienne (MINES Saint-Etienne) in France, within the SPIN Center and the LGF Laboratory, UMR CNRS 5307, where he leads the PMDM Department interested in image analysis of granular media. He is also the Deputy Director of the MORPHEA CNRS GDR 2021 Research Group. He is the Head of the Master of Science in Mathematical Imaging and Spatial Pattern Analysis (MISPA) at MINES Saint-Etienne. His research interests include image processing and analysis, pattern recognition and stochastic geometry. Mohammad Ali Haghighat Bayan is an academic researcher at the Department of Biosystems and Soft Matter, Polish Academy of Sciences. Elena Marrocchino is an Academic Researcher at the Department of Environmental and Prevention Sciences, University of Ferrara. She received her degree in Geological Sciences at the University of Ferrara and her PhD in Mineralogy, Petrology and Crystallography at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. She has been a research fellow at the University of Ferrara for more than 10 years. She has extensive knowledge in applying scientific methodologies for diagnostics and management of the intervention on the existing built historical and artistic heritage. She is involved in several projects related to historical and conservative analyses of the cultural heritage from museums, archaeological sites and monuments for petrochemical-mineralogical investigation of medieval fusion, pigments, frescoes, lithoid building materials, such as mortars, plasters and bricks. She also teaches classes on archeopetrography at a graduate level.In addition, she is involved in research activities on characterizing river sediments from Italian and foreign contexts (for example, Mozambique, Argentina and Morocco) to assess their environmental quality and possible uses as raw and secondary materials for industry and construction. Moreover, in general, she published several scientific papers on petrographic, mineralogical and geochemical study and characterization of construction and demolition aggregates to promote their reuse, after appropriate recycling treatments. Currently, she is teaching in a graduate class on the characterization of the geochemical and compositional footprint of soils and food in the context of food traceability projects, for the development of analytical methods aimed at food traceability and in this context, publishing scientific papers on international journals and as a convener in International Scientific Congress (EGU, Goldschmidt). She guest edited several Special Issue for Scientific journals such as Minerals (MDPI ed) and Geosciences (MDPI ed). She has been the Project Manager of the Ferrara partner in the Interreg IT-HR ECOMAP project –Eco-sustainable management of marine and tourist ports;and she is currently the Project Manager for the Project LIFE19 ENV/IT/000373 - Recycling of granite scraps II - LIFE REGS II focused on the exploitation and transferability activities of research results in the field of natural geo-resources from quarries and mines. Dr Hongbin Ma is one senior member of IEEE. He has been a Professor at the School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology since he joined Beijing Institute of Technology in 2009. He received his bachelor degree from Zhengzhou University in 2001 and doctoral degree from the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. He joined Bell Labs Research Center at Beijing in March of 2006 and later joined Temasek Laboratories, National University of Singapore in August 2006 as a Research Scientist. His research focuses on adaptation, learning and recognition, especially adaptive estimation and control, as well as their applications in robots, smart cars, and UAVs. He is also a member of SIAM, CSIAM, ACM and Automation Society of China. Dr. Ma is the principle investigator of several scientific projects supported by National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC), the programme of New Century Excellent Talents in University by Ministry of Education, the programme of Beijing Outstanding Talents Project, and so on. He also won several awards, such as Wu Wenjun Artificial Intelligence Award, Outstanding Research Work Award, ICIRA Recognition Award, ICMA best paper award, etc. Dr. Ma has published more than 100 academic papers in reputable journals or conferences. Simona Silvia Merola received from the University of Naples in Italy her “Summa cum Laude” Magister Degree in Physics in 1995 and the PhD in Chemical Engineering in 2001. Since 2001 she is a tenured Researcher of IstitutoMotori (IM), now named STEMS, of CNR, Italian National Research Council. Since 2010 she is senior researcher and chief of a division involved in the application of optical diagnostics to the fuel injection and combustion process investigations. Her research work focuses on the experimental analysis of the thermo fluid-dynamic phenomena that occur in-cylinder and at the exhaust of the internal combustion engines fuelled by conventional and alternative fuels. She has the direct responsibility for experimental activities in several research projects and has an active role in the organization of technical sessions of various international technical conferences. Dr. HamdiEzzin is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Engineering and Architecture, University of Parma. He received a M.S. degree in power engineering from the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Romania, in 2000 and a Ph.D. degree in power engineering at the same university in 2005. In 2022, he was appointed as a Full Professor in the Power Engineering Department at the “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Romania. Also, he is Head of the “Availability of Energy Systems Supplied from Renewable Sources” Research Laboratory and “Energy management/Energy Quality Optimization” Department of the Power Systems Engineering Research Center at “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi. He is the author of 15 books, 11 book chapters, and more than 300 articles having as the research topics: load modelling, power quality, increasing the energy efficiency in the electric networks; optimal integration of renewable energy sources in the electrical networks, Artificial Intelligence techniques in the supervisory and control of power systems, etc. These research topics were motivated by the current technological developments in the Power Engineering field and the gradual implementation of Smart Grids. He was a member of over 150 technical program committees of the international symposia and conferences carried out in countries from Europe, Asia, and North America.
