Enzo Siviero born on 1945 in Padua, Italy. In 1969, he graduated in Civil Engineering. In 1972, he started his teaching activity at IUAV, the University of Venice, when in 1994 he become full professor of Theory and Design of Bridges. At present he is Rector of on line University eCampus Italy where he teaches Bridge Theory and Design. In China he is Consultant Professor at the College of Civil Engineering of Tongji University, Shanghai-China, Adjunct Professor at Fuzhou University and Chang’An University, Xi’An-China, former member of CUN, National University Council at the Ministry of Education in Rome (2007-2015) and deputy president (2007- 2013). Awarded the honorary degree in Architecture by Politecnico di Bari, 2009. After his Graduation, over the years he has carried out in-depth research into the theme of Bridges, devoting a large part of his academic activity to teaching structures to architects in order to reach the highest point of connection between structure and form, mechanical behavior and aesthetics features. This objective has been carried out giving huge importance the conceptual design of bridges, paying particular attention to their integration in the landscape, in order to obtain a more sustainable and less invasive development of infrastructures. As an expert on structural mechanics and concrete structures, he has performed important researches on both these topics at National and International level within the IUAV, mainly within CEB FIP (later FIB) as member of the editorial board of CEB FIP MODEL CODE '90. With reference to the professional field, Enzo Siviero has designed several outstanding structures alone or in team with some engineers and architects. His main fields of activity are those of conceptual and detailed design, durability of concrete structures, structural diagnosis and monitoring, refurbishment and strengthening of bridges, flyovers and footbridges. He is author and editor of numerous books and articles on reinforced and prestressed concrete, management of structural works, conservation, rebuilding and strengthening of roads, bridge design and large structures. He is also author or co-author of many technical-scientific papers. In 1999, he inaugurated the exhibition “Enzo Siviero: the theme of the bridge” which has been presented in many Italian and European Universities. In 2009, he inaugurated his important exhibition “Ponteggiando – Bridging” which is currently touring various Universities all around the world, from Europe to China India Africa and America. Professionally, he is active both in Italy and abroad in the field of building industry, structures and infrastructures especially bridges, viaducts and roads. In 2019 he inaugurated the third exhibition Enzo Siviero The Bridge Men (Reggio Calabria Italy).

Dr. Abbas Aminmansour is a member of the Structures Concentration faculty and past Chair of the Building Performance Program in the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at UrbanaChampaign. His areas of research and scholarship interest include design of steel structures as well as design of tall buildings. Professor Aminmansour is an active member of technical committees in the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) and serves on AISC’s Committee on Manuals, Technical Committee 2, and Technical Committee 4 of the AISC Committee on Specification. The AISC Committee on Manuals is responsible for the contents of AISC’s Steel Construction Manual (AISC Manual) as well as the Seismic Design Manual. His work has been adopted by AISC several times and included in the AISC Manual. His most recent work is what is referred to as the super table in Part Six of the AISC Manual. He is the recipient of the 2015 Special Achievement Award from AISC. Professor Aminmansour is currently developing an integrated cloud-based book and software for design of structural steel members. Dr. Aminmansour is a current member and past Chair of the Chicago Committee on High Rise Buildings(CCHRB). He is also an active member of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) where he serves on the Editorial Board of CTBUH’s International Journal of High-Rise Buildings. CTBUH recognized Dr. Aminmansour as one of four 2022 Fellows selected globally for this honor. He is a CTBUH Leader and member of the mentoring group. Professor Aminmansour was interviewed for a television documentary called Skyscrapers: Engineering the Future which aired on the Science Channel in the United States and has been shown in other countries as well.

Habtamu has attended structural dynamics seminar at University of Messina,Italy. He also accomplished his MSc in Structural Engineering from Addis Ababa Institute of Technology, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia 2017 and his BSc in Civil Engineering from Bahir Dar,Ethiopia 2014. Among the biggest projects he works as a senior structural engineer and conservation engineer with Fasil Ghiorghis CAE include, National palace Conservation, Holy Trinity Cathedral Conservation, Jima Aba Jiffar Conservation, and multiple mixed use, apartments, education and hospitality projects. He has an ample experience in structural design and supervision for large scale real-estate projects in Ethiopia. Habtamu is currently the CEO of MENEN Engineering and working as a senior structural engineer contributing his immense experience in the built environment including design, supervision and project management. His research interests include structural consolidation and retrofiting.

Professor Joe Rizzuto has worked on a wide variety of schemes with consulting engineers and contractors both in the UK and overseas and has extensive industrial and academic experience. His most recent roles at University of West London (UWL) include Professor of Civil Engineering, Head of Engineering and Built Environment and Interim Head of School (September 2022 – February 2023). He is Head of the UWL Sustainable Civil and Structural Engineering Research Group. The Group hosts PhD students and carries out research to find ways of reducing the impact of construction related activities on the environment. Joe's research interests include novel space structure systems, numerical modelling, experimental investigations, structural behaviour, sustainable materials, concrete ground supported slabs, masonry arches and vaults and structural design method applications. Joe is a reviewer for journal and book publishers and serves on the UK's Institution of Structural Engineers Academic Qualifications Panel and is a guest editor for Applied Sciences. Professor Paulo Roberto Vilela Dias holds a Master's in Civil Engineering (UFF). Civil Engineer (UFRJ). He is the Founder (1978) and president (1999 - current) of IBEC - Brazilian Institute of Cost Engineering and also the Director of ICEC - International Cost Engineering Council (2014 - current). He is the author of 5 books on Cost Engineering. He is a member of ABC and the FEBRAE Director. He is also an AFEA President and Counselor at Crea-RJ. He has more than 40 years of experience in teaching and consulting and construction engineering. He received several national and international medals and awards. She was born in Catania in 1970 and is now an associate professor of Geotechnical Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture (DICAR) of the University of Catania and in April 2017 she obtained in Italy the National Academic Qualification as Full Professor in Geotechnical Engineering. In 1988 she passed her General Certificate of Education with full marks. In 1995 she received her degree in Civil Engineering with full marks and honors. In 1999 she received the Geotechnical Engineering Doctor’s degree. In 2000-2002 she performed her research activity as a post-doctorate researcher in Geotechnical Engineering. In 2001 and 2002 she spent some periods at Bristol University (UK) performing shaking table tests on DSSI. In 2002-2004 she was a research assistant in Geotech. Eng. at the University of Catania. In 2005-2011 she was a researcher in Geotech. Eng. at the University of Catania. She won the “IGS Student Award”, the “Premio Troiano” award, and an ECOLEADER grant. She has taught the following courses: Soil Mechanics and Dynamics, Geotechnics, Foundations, Laboratory of Static and Dynamic Geotechnical Engineering; and several Ph.D. lectures and 2nd Level Master lectures. She has been the scientific director of numerous national and international research projects. She has attended numerous national and international conferences, often presenting her scientific works as an invited/keynote lecturer. She is author of more than 150 papers. She was head of the Geotechnical Engineering Section of DICAR in Catania. She has organized numerous conferences, workshops, and national and international professional courses. She was a member of the Italian ETC- 12 Task Force and of the Commission for the Italian qualifying examination for engineers. She is the head of the Geotechnical Testing Laboratory of the University of Catania. She is the reference teacher for the University of Catania of three ERASMUS+Programme Agreements. Andrea Nobili graduated in Engineering at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy, where he obtained his PhD in Material Science in 2002 and he is currently Associate Professor in Solid Mechanics. He’s been invited professor at the Aberystwith University (UK), Keele Univeristy (UK), Liverpool University (UK), Sheffield University (UK), Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach (DE) and Faculty of Industrial Engineering Novo mesto (SI). His research interest covers wave propagation and diffraction in elastic solids, fracture mechanics, asymptotic methods, complex materials with microstructure, the mechanics of brittle matrix composite materials and of bio-materials. He co-authored 68 papers in international scientific journals (Scopus), more than 50 conference proceedings, 1 book on Structural Dynamics and 3 patents.

Dr. Amal Elawady is an Associate Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Florida International University (FIU).Sheis a Fellow of FIU’s Extreme Event Institute. She is also a co-PI of two NSF-national centers at FIU: the NHERI Wall of Wind Experimental Facility and the IUCRC Wind Hazard and Infrastructure Performance Center. Dr. Elawady is conducting groundbreaking research onhurricane and thunderstorm effects on different structures and urban trees. Dr. Elawady has published over 20 journals and 40 conference papers and presentations. Her work at the Wall of Wind enabled expanding the capability of the national facility to simulate thunderstorm downbursts in addition to hurricanes. Dr. Elawady has graduated 4 PhD students and is currently supervising other 5 PhD students. Dr. Elawady has received over $2M in research funding as PI from different federal, state, and industry agencies in addition to several multi-million dollars as a co-PI. Dr. Elawady is the recipient of the 2022-Faculty Early Career Development Program (CAREER) Award from the National Science Foundation. Dr. Elawady received her PhD from The University of Western Ontario in Canada (2016) and M.Sc. (2012)and B.Sc. (2008) degrees from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt.

Dr. Anoop S. Mokha engineering career has spanned from basic research on Friction Pendulum bearings to its implementation in important and critical industrial, bridge, and building structures worldwide. As Vice President of EPS, since 1999, Dr. Mokha has worked closely with Clients, Engineers, Architects, and Contractors for successful and cost-effective implementation of ‘Continued- Functionality” design with Friction Pendulum bearings in over 30 countries. Clients such as Apple, Samsung, Shell, Exxon, Texas Instrument, GSA, State of California, etc have realized construction cost savings of hundreds of millions of dollars with the creative and innovative seismic solutions provided by EPS. During his 10 year tenure as Structural Engineer at Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill, San Francisco, Dr. Mokha lead the project team for the design and implementation of Friction Pendulum bearings for the New San Francisco International Terminal building and the retrofit of the Historic Landmark Building; the U.S. Court of Appeals in San Francisco. In 1990, Anoop was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Structural Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo, New York. His Ph.D. thesis supervised by Prof. Michael C. Constantinou was on the Experimental and Analytical Study of Sliding Isolation Systems with emphasis on Friction Pendulum Bearings. His doctoral qualifying examination committee included well known Professors Robert Ketter, Ian Buckle, and Andrei Reinhorn. In 1999, Anoop was awarded the prestigious “George W. Thorn” Award from the State University of New York at Buffalo in recognition for his contribution and accomplishments in implementation of Friction Pendulum seismic solutions for reducing earthquake damage. In 1985, his interest in earthquakes convinced him to join the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, India, the only institute in Asia then offering a graduate degree in Earthquake Engineering. He graduated with a Masters Degree in Structural Dynamics with honors and earned a research at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He received another Masters Degree in Structural Engineering in 1987. In 1983 Anoop Mokha completed his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from the Regional Engineering College of Engineering, Nagpur, India. He received Gold Medal for standing first in all 8 semesters, the only accomplishment in the history of the Engineering College. Dr. Anoop Mokha is a Licensed Structural Engineer and Professional Engineer in the State of California. Dr. Nevin Karamahmut Mermer completed her graduation project at Brno University of Technology,Czech Republic in 2010. She obtained her B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Chemical EngineeringFaculty at Yildiz Technical University, Turkey. During her Ph.D. studies, she worked as a ResearchEngineer in a construction company for 1.5 years. She has been working for Kalekim ConstructionChemicals Co. as R&D Assistant Manager since 2019. She has 28 presentations shared innational/international congresses, 15 articles published in national/international refereedjournals and a book chapter.Currently, she teaches Chemistry and Manufacture of Cement lecture at the university.

Yining Ding served as an engineer at the Safety and Environmental Protection Research Institute from 1983 until 1990. He got his post-Doctorate at the Institute for Building Materials, Innsbruck University, Austria, between 1998 and 2000. He served as an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at Dalian University of Technology in China from 2000 to 2001. He worked as a Full Professor at the Dalian University of Technology's civil engineering department from 2001 until 2022. Danial Mohammadzadeh S. is currently Lecture. Professor Amir Čaušević has been working in historic structures since 2000 starting with his master's in "Structural aspects of repair and reconstruction in case of masonry structure" and Ph.D. "Architectural and structural conceptions of sacral object's towers -Behavior under atypical actions" by 2009. He has been continually active in his professional life at the Faculty of Architecture University Sarajevo, Bosnia, and Herzegovina as well, being the author of about 75 international and national papers, books, and chapters in books, mostly on the preservation and evaluation of historic structures. He has been organizing and performing editorial work at the Hazards & Modern Heritage International Conference in Sarajevo. He is a Member: of the ISCARSAH Committee, of international masonry society -IMS, of Technical Committee BAS TC 58, and an Expert member of the International Council on Monuments and Sites –ISCARSAH(ICOMOS). Professor Čaušević has undertaken important tasks, contributed to international projects, and visited cities for training in professional interests Berlin University, Stuttgart University, Trieste University, Istanbul Yildiz University, Jerusalem, Bari Politecnico, Ankara Middle East Technical University, Rome La Sapienza University, and Istanbul Technical University. Bashir Salah, Associate Professor at the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies in Tripoli, Libya (Head of Construction Division), Dr. Bashir Salah received his Ph.D. in 2013 from Warsaw University of Technology in the field of designing buildings exposed to extreme events (explosions and fires) using modeling and simulation technology. In 2007, he received a Master of Science in Structural Design of Tall buildings Using the Eurocode for Steel and Concrete Composite Materials. He was a non-resident instructor at institutions in South Africa and Osaka, Japan before joining the Libyan Advanced Center for Technical Education in 2014. He was also a researcher at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Tripoli, State of Libya, from April 2014 to April 2019. Mr. Karim EL Mounla earned his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Beirut Arab University, Lebanon, in 2019. Subsequently, he completed his master's degree in Innovative Construction and Rehabilitation Techniques at the University of La Rochelle, France, in 2020. While at the University of La Rochelle in 2021, he also worked as a research engineer, focusing on assessing indoor air quality. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. at the Research Laboratory CESI LINEACT, located in Brest, France. His doctoral research focuses on enhancing the design phase of construction projects through the integration of Lean and Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies, with the aim of improving project efficiency and outcomes.

Kawsar Arzomand is a Ph.D. candidate in Civil Engineering at Brunel University London, specializing in the application of generative AI in architectural design through innovative Text to 3D Modelling techniques. With a robust academic background, including a postgraduate degree in AI and Machine Learning from Amity University India, she brings a wealth of over seven years of cross-disciplinary experience across various technological and engineering disciplines. Currently serving as an ICT Specialist at UNOPS, Arzomand applies her deep expertise in programming, data analysis, and data visualization to develop and implement dashboards and Information management systems. Dr. Ahmed is a lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University's School of Computing, Engineering, and the Built Environment. He has a diverse academic background and extensive experience in civil engineering and teaching. Ahmed joined Edinburgh Napier University in 2010 as a PhD student and has since worked his way up to become a permanent lecturer. As a lecturer, Ahmed has taught a range of mathematics and civil engineering subjects to undergraduate and MSc level students. He has also taken on module leadership responsibilities and is the program leader for the global online MSc Construction Project Management. His research interests include timber engineering, bio-based composite materials in construction, non-destructive test technology in civil engineering, and the development of high strength and performance green concrete. Ahmed has been the lead or co-investigator for several research projects funded by prestigious organizations. Ahmed has published his research outcomes in several prestigious civil engineering journals, where he is often the first or corresponding author. He also has experience using finite element software to model complex structures and teaches the finite element module at the MSc level. Before joining Edinburgh Napier University, Ahmed worked as a teaching assistant and lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at Omar Al Mukhtar University in Libya. Mr. Moataz has completed his Bsc of petroleum geoscience from Cairo University in Egypt. He has +5 years of professional experience in Ground improvement techniques (DC, DR, RIC, VC, and SC). Currently, He is a Site Engineer at Trevi Group in Dubai – UAE.

Raja Rizwan Hussain received his Ph.D. and M.Sc. in 2006 and 2008 in Civil Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan which is ranked among Top 20 universities in the world. Dr. Hussain was ranked as outstanding student and was awarded the best research thesis, prize and medal from the University of Tokyo. He was given Furuichi Kimitake Prize, which is the highest award in the entire University. He also completed his Ph.D. in a record short period of just 2 years from a university ranked among Top 20 in the world. He is the editor and board member of several ISI-indexed international journals. He has also served as guest editor for several international ISI-indexed journals. Moreover, he is one of the organizing chairs and member of technical committees for more than 6 dozen international conferences, symposiums and seminars. In addition, he is an active reviewer of many international ISI-indexed journals. He has delivered presentations, lectures and has served as invited speaker, distinguished keynote speaker, session chair etc. in more than 50 countries around the world. Dr. Hussain has received more than 100 medals, awards, prizes and distinctions throughout his research, academic and professional career. He has taught more than a dozen subjects to undergraduate, M.Sc. and Ph.D students in three different universities and in three different Countries. Dr. Hussain has authored more than 250 research publications including ISI-indexed journal papers, international conference proceedings, edited books, editorials, expos, invention shows and exhibitions, technical reports etc. He is also an inventor of more than a dozen US, WO & KSA international patents. He has secured more than 25 national and international research grants worth millions of US Dollars. He is an active member of more than two dozen international societies, organizations, councils & committees. His research areas of interest lie in steel reinforced concrete technology - materials & structures, especially corrosion.

Prof. (Dr.) Deepa G. Nair (PhD - TU Delft, Netherlands) is currently associated with Cochin University of Science and Technology, Cochin, (India). She is also the Engineering & Technology Dean of Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, (India). & member of the subcommittee for formulating the Housing Policy for Government of Kerala. Her association with Nirmithi Kendra, a voluntary organization promoting cost effective and environment friendly construction techniques in Kerala in the early years of her career has become an inspiration of her research interests in the areas of affordable housing and appropriate technologies. Her research interests include Sustainable housing, alternative building materials and environment friendly construction techniques.
