Wolfgang Mildner is the owner of MSWtech, a consulting company focusing on applications in the field of printed electronics with customers especially abroad, e.g. in other European countries (Austria, Spain), India and USA,. He is currently working part-time as network manager of the ENERGIEregion for the ZIM network HIDRONIK (hybridsystems based on printed electronics). Wolfgang Mildner was managing director of PolyIC (a leading printed electronicscompany) from 2004 to 2014. Prior to that, Wolfgang Mildner held various business positions for Siemens (new business development, industrial PC business unit, fail safe PLC and others). Wolfgang Mildner was responsible for a number of projects turning promising technologies into business. Wolfgang Mildner studied and received his diploma in computer science at the Technical University of Erlangen.

Dr. Richard J. Spontak is a Distinguished Professor of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, Professor of Materials Science & Engineering, and Alumni Distinguished Graduate and Undergraduate Professor at North Carolina State University. He received his B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering (with honors/high distinction) from the Pennsylvania State University in 1983 and was later awarded a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1988. He then pursued post-doctoral research in Materials Science & Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge (U.K.) and Condensed Matter Physics at the Institute for Energy Technology (Norway) before joining the Corporate Research Division of The Procter & Gamble Company in 1990.

Dr. Anka Ehrhardt is a biophysicist with a doctorate degree in human physiology. Throughout her career, Dr. Ehrhardt combined technical expertise with strategic excellence and operational savvy to build and run laboratories and teams, drive them to become Centers of Excellence and key partners, serving the discovery and development needs of large biopharmaceutical companies. Through her work at Merck and BMS, Dr. Ehrhardt encountered the key issues in biopharma research and development; the specific challenges in different ways of sample and data collection, and the importance of strategic planning and analysis. Based on observed needs, Dr. Ehrhardt lead teams of increasing size in developing and implementing strategies reaching from securing that biomarker assays are optimized to gather clear data in support of fast, well-founded decision making, to systematically maximizing the information gathered from clinical samples in support of hypothesis generation. She joined CHDI in 2017.

Anna Backerra has graduated in theoretical physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology in The Netherlands and worked for three years at Philips Research Laboratories. She continued independently, making a search for complementary physics. To develop a way of complementary thinking she studied composition at the Conservatory in Enschede and in Saint Petersburg (Russia). After that she constructed a complementary mathematical language and applied this on physics, obtaining twin physics. The surprisingly diverse results are published in 13 papers in Physical Essays, Applied Physics Research, Advances in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Int. J. of Nanotechnology & Nanomedicine and in Nano Progress. The results about magnetism, seen in a broad perspective, gave rise to the establishment of an institute, fully dedicated to the theoretical as well as applied investigation of related subjects. Jean Mercier Ythier is professor of economics at the University of Paris-Panthéon-Assas, France. He graduated from the Institute of Political Studies of Paris (PhD, 1989). He was also a graduate student at Harvard University (1986-87). He went notably through positions of invited research fellow at the University of Montréal (Québec, Canada), assistant professor and associate professor of economics at the University of Paris Panthéon-Sorbonne and professor of economics at the University of Lorraine (France). Prof. Jean Mercier Ythier's research interests include the theory of general competitive equilibrium, microeconomic theory, public economic theory, economic philosophy, altruism, ethics, and topics of economic anthropology.

Professor Yung-Kang Shen received his Ph.D. degree from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1995. He has been a Professor of the School of Dental Technology at Taipei Medical University (TMU) since 2014. He has been a Chairman of the School of Dental Technology of TMU since 2018. He is also the Director of Bio-Medical Nano/Micro Forming Lab of TMU, the Researcher of Nano Tissue Engineering and Image Research Center of Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH), the Researcher of Sleep Research Center of Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH), the Researcher of the Department of Otolaryngology of Taiwan Adventist Hospital (TAH). He is the Chairman of Taiwan Oral Biomedical Engineering Association, Co-Organizing Directors for Asia Pacific Society for Materials Research (APSMR), Co-Organizing Directors for Asia Pacific Society for Biology and Medical Sciences (APSBMS), the Supervisor of SME Taipei Chapter and the Director of Taiwan Society for Abrasive Technology. He is an Adjunct Professor of University Airlangga (Indonesia) since 2022. He is an Adjunct Professor of University Hasanuddin (Indonesia) since 2020. He is a Guest Professor of Zhejiang University of Technology (China) since 2017. He is a Part-time Professor of ShanDong University (China) since 2016. He is a Visiting Professor of Changchun University of Science and Technology (China) since 2012. Professor Shen is a project review committee member of the National Science and Technology Council (Taiwan). His research includes digital dentistry, metamaterial, scaffold fabrication (PCL/graphene), 3D/4D/5D printing, biomedical nano/micro forming technology, medical bionics design and manufacturing, animal model for medicine therapy. Now, he has published more than 140 journal papers and 120 conference papers. Professor Shen has served as the Plenary Speaker or keynote speaker at more than 30 international seminars. Professor Shen was awarded the Best Paper Award for the 3rd International Forum on Systems and Mechatronics in Singapore in 2010. He was also awarded the First Prize in Poster Presentation Award for the 2nd Research Week-International Symposium 2012 of COM on Dental Technology, Oral Health Care and Biomedical Device in Taipei in 2012. He was also awarded the Most Cited Article Award, 2012 to 2013 for "International Journal of Precision Engineering and Manufacturing" (SCI Journal). Professor Shen awarded the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2022-side by side of lifetime scientific influence (Stanford University). Dr LU BAI received the B.Eng. degree in biomedical engineering from Tianjin University, Tianjin, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Kent, Canterbury, U.K., in 2014. She was a Research Associate with the School of Engineering and Digital Arts, University of Kent, in 2015. She was a Research Associate of mobile sensing with the Department of Computer Science, The University of Sheffield, from 2016 to 2018. She was a KTP Associate and a Data Scientist with Shearwater Systems Ltd., in 2019. She is currently a Lecturer with Ulster University, U.K. Her recent research interests include rehabilitation engineering, human motion analysis, kinematic modelling, mobile sensing, and machine learning in healthcare.

Dr. Laura Gabriela SARBU is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. She received a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry in 2015. During the Ph.D. program she joined several times the Prof. dr. Henning Hopf research team in TU Braunschweig – Germany.
