Juan Schneider is one of the leading figures in the world of additive manufacturing and a recognized specialist in nanotechnology and ultra-thin films. Mr. Schneider has over 25 years of technology and business experience with three companies developed to date. With leadership and creativity in 2014, he founded Nanogrande Inc., the first Canadian company to develop its proprietary metal additive manufacturing technology. This technology made it possible to offer the world's first metal 3D nano printers, becoming a commercial vector for more than twenty Canadian partners and suppliers. Mr. Schneider is the author of a dozen patents covering more than fifteen countries in Europe, Asia and America which have enabled the development and industrialization of molecular coating processes, as well as ultra-thin films. With his team, this work has been rewarded with prizes such as Formnext 2018, in Germany; the Octas and Dunamis Awards in 2017; the NASA-NANO50 in 2004; Semicon West 2005 and Nano-Japan 2005 for their micro and nano surface fabrication solutions. Mr. Schneider is a regular guest speaker at conferences and presentations in Canada and abroad. He is involved in the development of the next generation as a mentor for the Center for Education in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Dawson College, as well as a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Montreal since 2007. He has opened Nanogrande to many Canadian graduate and undergraduate students where they can apply nanotechnology to manufacturing 4.0. Haseung Chung's research focuses on the development of a new integrated manufacturing system to fabricate the product having very complex geometries most efficiently. First, the product will be decomposed based on its geometry. A relatively simple geometry can be machined from bulk material while directed energy deposition (DED) process will be applied to complex geometry but no assembly procedure is necessary by virtue of DED's characteristic. In order to enhance the part's quality, magnetic-field assisted finishing (MAF) will be also integrated in this system. As a long term goal, he aims to produce fully heterogeneous composites using multiple materials by this new system. Also, his group is currently developing a large scale, rapid, and more accessible AM system for fabricating metal parts, leveraging the principles of both streolighography (SLA) and binder jet printing (BJP). The proposed system will integrate a digital light projection (DLP) engine which allows printing on a large surface area instantly enabling us to produce parts rapidly while maintaining a high resolution and fine details.

Prof. Shouxun Ji is currently a Professor at Brunel University London. He has been focusing on the development of lightweight materials and structures for the automotive industry, aerospace, powered tools, and other sectors. The main activities include purpose-developed aluminium alloys and magnesium alloys with improved ductility, strength (at ambience and elevated temperatures), modulus and thermal conductivity, and the hybrid structures using different materials and different joining techniques. He is also working on new materials and structures for special applications, such as materials for explosive cords and high strength casting materials for aircraft. His works have helped industrial partners to deliver several products in massive manufacturing. Recently, he worked with world leading company to develop magnesium alloys for small engine applications, which requires improved strength and thermal conductivity at room temperature and at elevated temperatures. Prof. Ji has published more than 130 papers in the peer-reviewed scientific Journals and more than 20 international patents. He is the member of three ISO technical committee and one BSI technical committee and the editorial member of three scientific journals. He received the innovation award from CMF UK in 2017.

Dr. Daolun Chen is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Toronto Metropolitan University, Canada. He received his BSc and MSc from Northeastern University (China), PhD from Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Dr.rer.nat. from the University of Vienna, Austria. Dr. Chen has published 480 refereed journal (392) and conference (88) papers in the area of advanced materials and key engineering materials, and their deformation, fatigue, fracture, welding and joining, plus over 220 non-refereed conference papers/research reports. His seminal work on nanocomposites leads to a well-known method that bears his name, and is twice identified by the Council of Canadian Academies to be one of the top 1% most highly cited papers in his field worldwide. He has also been featured in the World's Top 2% Scientists List in a study from Stanford University, California, USA. Dr. Chen is a recipient of numerous prestigious awards including Premier's Research Excellence Award, G.H. Duggan Medal, Canadian Metal Physics Award, MetSoc Award for Research Excellence, MetSoc Distinguished Materials Scientist Award, Sarwan Sahota Distinguished Scholar Award, Ontario Professional Engineers Awards (OPEA) Engineering Medal - Research and Development. Hiroshi Kawakami is a professor at Kyoto University of Advanced Science, in Japan. He received his Bachelor, Master, and Dr. Eng. degrees from Kyoto University. He started his career at Okayama University as an assistant professor. He joined Kyoto University, where he was an associate professor of the Graduate School of Informatics and a program-specific professor of the Design Unit. His research interests include systems design, where he has proposed FUBEN-EKI that stands for designing systems based on appreciating "benefits of inconvenience." He received best paper awards of Transactions of the Society of Instrument and Control Engineering (1990, 2001, 2013), the Transactions of Human Interface Society (2009, 2018), and Journal of Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (2014).

Xiaolong Wang is a full professor in Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics (LICP), CAS. He joined the LICP at 2007 when he got his PhD in the major of polymer chemistry and physics at Lanzhou University. During his stay in LICP, he spent a year (2010-2011) in Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Research Associate and two years (2011-2013) in University of Western Ontario (Canada) as a visiting professor. Chen Jimin born in 1965 is a professor in Beijing University of Technology. He served as the director of 3D Printing Center in this University. He is a member of Standardization Committee of China Additive Manufacturing（SAC/TC 562）. He also is a member of Special Processing Committee of China Mechanical Engineering Society. In 1986 He obtained the bachelor’s degree in ME form Huazhong University of Science and Technology and obtained his master degree in Engineering in 1989. In 2000 he went to Ravensburg Germany to do his programming of CAM work and develop Laser cutting CAM . In 2011 he went to the State University of New York at buffalo as a visiting professor for one year. In 2018 he went to Boston University as a senior visiting professor. He participated and finished more than tens of research projects including National Nature Science Foundation of China. Prof./Dr. Zhang is professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology, China. He received his Ph.D. degree from Harbin Institute of Technology in 2002. His research interests are novel composites for structural and functional applications with light weight and environmental friendship, including metal-matrix composites (MMCs), physics and chemistry in MMCs, composite interface, strengthening and toughening of MMCs, ferromagnetic shape memory alloys (FMSMAs), physics of martensite transformation and solid-state refrigeration. His clinical experience directly influences and compliments his expertise in CAD, 3D scanning, and various forms of additive manufacturing. Dr. Marcin Winnicki is a young-scientist and leading researcher in the field of surface engineering at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. He has been published extensively as author and co-author of over 40 papers in highly regarded, peer-reviewed journals. Presently, his scientific interest focuses on flexible printed electronics. Being engaged in many scientific projects he supervises with special care the construction of an aerosol jet printer of his own idea.

Wojciech Lapa graduated with a master’s degree in automatics and robotics with specialization in production systems at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Presently is employed in two research projects related to Powder Bed Fusion and Aerosol Jet Printing at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Ms. Melisa Altintas studied mechanical engineering at Gazi University in Turkey while working as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Aselsan from 2025. She has expertise in mechanical design, naval and air acoustic systems, DFM, DFA, BOM, DFAM, GD&T, design outsourcing, and providing training. She was also developing a new special interface for noninvasive ventilatory support: design, produce, and apply and also received the Uneko-27 Best Paper/Presentation Award from the Turkish Neonatology Association in 2019.
