Prof. Aladdin Ayesh, MSc (Essex, 1996), PhD (LJMU, 2000), CEng (Engineering Council UK, 2006), FBCS (British Computer Society, 2009) – is a Professor of Artificial Intelligence at De Montfort University. He has over 20 years of research experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence with over 150 refereed publications, 24 funded projects, and has supervised to completion 22 PhD projects. His prime research focuses on cognitive modelling and machine learning. He has overseen the application of AI, especially machine learning and analytics, in a variety of domains including robotics, sensor networks, services management, health informatics, cybersecurity, and intelligent user interfaces. Prof. Ayesh co-founded and led two research groups: Intelligent Mobile Robots and Creative Computing research group (2005 – 2009) and Mobile Cognitive Systems research group (2014 - 2019). He is a founding editor of four international journals, chaired several international conferences, and a regular reviewer of grant proposals. He is also a member of several IEEE Standards working groups and a contributor to IEEE 7010-2020 - IEEE Recommended Practice for Assessing the Impact of Autonomous and Intelligent Systems on Human Well-Being.

Dinesh Manocha is currently the Paul Chrisman Iribe Chair of Computer Science and Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland at College Park. Earlier he was the Matthew Mason/Phi Delta Theta Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He co-leads a major research group with more than 20 members on geometric and simulation algorithms with applications to computer graphics, robotics and virtual environments. He has published more than 500 papers in the leading conferences and journals in computer graphics, robotics, computational geometry, databases, multimedia, high performance computing and symbolic computation, and received 16 best paper and time of test awards. He has also served as program committee member or program chair of more than 120 leading conferences in these areas. Moreover, he has given more than 110 invited or keynote talks at conferences and distinguished lectures at other institutions. Manocha has served as a member of the editorial board or guest editor of eleven leading journals in computer graphics, robotics, geometry processing and scientific computing. He is a co-inventor of 9 patents, several of which have been licensed to industry.

Hesheng Wang received the Ph.D. degree in Automation & Computer-Aided Engineering from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Currently, he is a Professor of Department of Automation, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He has published more than 200 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He is an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Automation Science Engineering, IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, Assembly Automation and International Journal of Humanoid Robotics, a Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. He was a recipient of Shanghai Rising Star Award in 2014, The National Science Fund for Outstanding Young Scholars in 2017 and Shanghai Shuguang Scholar in 2019. He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He will be the General Chair of IEEE/RSJ IROS2025.

Professor Wei Xiang is currently Cisco Chair of AI and Internet of Things and Founding Director of Cisco-La Trobe Centre for AI and Internet of Things. Prof. Katharina Klemt-Albert is director of the ICoM – the Institute for Construction Management, Digital Engineering and Robotics in Construction at RWTH Aachen University. Projects at ICoM focus on sustainable digitalization and smart automation in architecture, engineering and construction. RWTH Aachen University owns the title to be called German University of Excellence, besides being a founding member of the IDEA League, a strategic alliance of five leading technical universities in Europe. Before joining RWTH Aachen University, Klemt-Albert was chair and professor at Leibniz Universität Hannover since 2016. Her academic career began with studies in civil engineering at Ruhr University in Bochum. In 2001, she earned a doctorate with honours from the Technical University of Darmstadt in cooperation with the Northwestern University, U.S.A. Professor Klemt-Albert has extensive management and industrial experience. She spent 14 years in top management at Deutsche Bahn AG, most recently as managing director of an international engineering company with 1,500 employees. Ahmed Lakhssassi received the B.Eng. and M.Sc. A in electrical engineering from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Québec, Canada in 1988 and 1990 respectively. He also received the Ph.D. in Energy and Material sciences in 1995 from INRS-Énergie et Matériaux (Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique), Québec, Canada. Since 1998, he has been with UQO (Université du Québec en Outaouais), where he is currently titular professor and responsible of the LIMA laboratory (Avanced Microsystem Engineering Laboratory) developing IP core and embedded algorithms for microsystems thermo-mechanical sensors dedicated for thermal peak detection. His research interest is the fields of bio-heat thermal modeling such as: heat diffusion in biological tissues, metabolic heat generation and external interactions, heat transfer mechanism in biological tissues for thermal therapeutic practices including dedicated bio-implantable puce design for cancer thermal dose control. Furthermore, his research interest are in machine learning to recognize the type of pain and to quantify the amount of pain to tracks any potential injury using neural networks and thermal image processing. Also, his research interest is in Design of Fully Automated tool for Porting Analog and Mixed signal circuits within Different Technology nodes. Dr. Lakhssassi is senior member of IEEE, the OIQ (Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec, Canada), NanoQuébec and has more than twenty-three years' experience with a large expertise with applications in the fields of Electro-Thermo-mechanical analysis for electronic and microelectronics system design. Professor Lakhssassi in a regular member of ReSMiQ (Strategic Alliance in Microsystems of Québec) the largest research center in microelectronics funded by the Government of Québec. Dinesh Jackson Samuel is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Biomedical Engineering, University of California, Davis. He is a leading researcher in bio medical imaging and computer vision for surgical robotics. His research interests also span computer vision (with a focus on human activity detection), machine learning, human-centric, neuroscience-inspired artificial intelligence and surgical robotics. Fredric Narcross has been researching neuro anatomy and neurophysiology for more than 30 years. He has also been programming computer systems since working at NASA in 1980. Dariusz Jacek Jakóbczak was born in Koszalin, Poland, on December 30, 1965. He graduated in mathematics (numerical methods and programming) from the University of Gdansk, Poland in 1990. He received the Ph.D. degree in 2007 in computer science from the Polish – Japanese Institute of Information Technology, Warsaw, Poland. From 1991 to 1994 he was a civilian programmer in the High Military School in Koszalin. He was a teacher of mathematics and computer science in the Private Economic School in Koszalin from 1995 to 1999. Since March 1998 he has worked in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science, Koszalin University of Technology, Poland and since October 2007 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Chair of Computer Science and Management in this department. His research interests connect mathematics with computer science and include computer vision, artificial intelligence, shape representation, curve interpolation, contour reconstruction and geometric modeling, numerical methods, probabilistic methods, game theory, operational research and discrete mathematics.

Dr. Zhao Zhang is a Full Professor at the School of Computer and Information, Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China. Mr. Antonino Galletta received his master's degree with honors in 2016 at the University of Messina in Computer Engineering. Shabnam Sadeghi Esfahlani (PhD) is an Associate Professor in Mechatronics and AI at the School of Engineering and the Built Environment, Anglia Ruskin University, UK. Koen Bertels’ scientific research focuses on quantum computing and more specifically on the definition and implementation of a scalable quantum computer system for any scientific and operational field. He is currently building a new team to continue working on all layers of the full stack which has been my work from the first day working on quantum computing. After starting 11 years ago on quantum computing, he has moved almost exclusively to the use of perfect qubits, which has no decoherence and no errors in the quantum gates performed on the qubits. Perfect qubit is an older, theoretical concept, but it allows to think about the algorithmic solutions one wants to study in any field without having to worry about returning to the ground state and all kinds of errors in the quantum calculation. We call this the PISQ-methodology, where PISQ stands for Perfect (qubits) Intermediate Scale Quantum computing. This is complementary to the NISQ-approach which means Noisy Intermediate Scale Quantum computing. There, the emphasis is on all the physics-based challenges and that is what the word Noisy represents. Being active in the Quantum Computing field for 10+ years, the team initially defined and developed all the layers in a quantum computer. The PISQ-approach is relatively young, but the team is focusing now mostly on the application layers. Smit Sibinga is the former Medical Director and founder of the Dutch Regional Blood Bank inGroningen (1976, northern part of the Netherlands), ID Consulting (2001), Sanquin Consulting Services and the Academic Institute for International Development of Transfusion Medicine in Groningen (2001), and the AABB Consulting Services Division, Bethesda, MD (2002). For 25 years he has served as the Managing Director of Sanquin Division Blood Bank Noord Nederland in Groningen, the Netherlands (1976-2001). Since 1993 his Blood Bank did incorporate the WHO Collaborating Centre for Blood Transfusion and the WFH International Hemophilia Training Centre in Groningen. In 2001 the Blood Bank became the first Collaborating Centre of the International Consortium for Blood Safety (ICBS). When he left in 2004, these functions were no longer continued.

Dr. Rawan Ghaly is an assistant professor at the School of Translation of Saint Joseph University Dubai. She pursued her studies at Saint Joseph University of Beirut where she became the youngest researcher to hold a doctoral title in 2018. Her work on the influence of certain cognitive factors such as visual perception and attention on the translation process has been a turning point in research in Lebanon. In 2015, she was part of the research axis “Translation Studies and Cognitive Sciences” launched by the CERTTAL, the research center of the School of Translation. Her articles appeared in many international peer-reviewed journals such as Atelier de Traduction and Al-Kimiya. Dr. Rawan participated in many international conferences on the future of Translation (Innsbruck, 2016; Valenciennes, 2017, Strasbourg 2021 & Innsbruck 2021). Her publication list includes two recent articles: “L’acte de Traduction selon les Sciences Cognitives: L’influence du facteur cognitif l’attention” (Innsbruck, 2020) and “عمليّة التّرجمة من منظار عمليّة التّرجمة، المترجم وارتكاب الأخطاء” (Beirut, 2019). Apart from her mother tongue, Dr. Ghaly is fluent in 5 more languages which include French, English, Italian, Spanish and Turkish. She is a member of the American Translators Association (ATA), the International Federation of Translators and La Société Française de Traductologie (SOFT).

D. Michael Franklin Dr. D. Michael Franklin holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. His research areas also include Machine Learning, High-Performance Computing, Big Data and Data Science, and Serious Games and Simulations. Dr. Franklin worked for over 25 years in the IT industry helping companies large and small solve their technical issues. He specialized in Solutions Engineering for Fortune 500 companies where he integrated their vision and business plan with their technology and implementation. After over two decades of success running his own consulting firm and helping push the IT industry forward, he returned to his first passion: teaching. Dr. Franklin is currently an Assistant Professor in the College of Computing and Software Engineering at Kennesaw State University’s Marietta Campus. He teaches a wide variety of classes for both undergraduate and graduate students across several disciplines within the computing domain. His major emphasis is on connecting technology with people who can solve intriguing, difficult, and challenging problems. Dr. Franklin is an enthusiastic speaker well-known for engendering passion in his listeners, motivating them to succeed, and equipping them to thrive. He owes a tremendous debt to those who have invested in just this way in his life, so now he spends his days paying this debt forward to the next generation.

Saeid Alirezazadeh received the Ph. D. degree from Centro de Matemática - Universidade do Porto, Porto, Portugal, in 2015. He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with C4-Cloud Computing Competence Center, Universidade da Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal, from 2019 to 2022. His research interests include algebraic graph theory, semi groups, automate, and tree languages, optimal scheduling of cloud robotics systems, and theoretical modelling of dynamical systems and stochastic processes.

Prof. Dr. Yousef FARHAOUI, is a Professor at Moulay Ismail University, Faculty of sciences and Techniques, Morocco. Chair of IDMS Team, Director of STI laboratory. Laura Arenas holds a BSc Economics from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, received her Master in Finance from EGADE Business School and is currently studying a PhD in Business at the Universidad de Barcelona, where she is focusing on analyzing the impact of disruptive technologies on stock market behavior. Laura was previously a Research and Teaching assistant at the School of Economics, Tecnológico de Monterrey and is currently lecturing at the EALDE Business School and Universidad de Barcelona.

Zhiqi Huang is currently a final year MS candidate at Peking University. He previously obtained the BS in computer science at Jinan University. His prior industry experience includes stints at Amazon Alexa AI, Huawei Noah Ark Lab and Tencent AI. His works are mainly about NLP, Speech and Deep Learning, and have been published at NeurIPS spotlight, ACL oral, COLING, AAAI, IJCAI, ICASSP, and ICPR. He have broad research interests in NLP & DL, especially in Language Understanding, Pre-trained Language Model Compression, Dialogue System, et al.

Dr. Youssef GAHI is an Associate Professor in computer science atthe National School of Applied Sciences, University ibn Tofail, Kenitra, Morocco. He received the MSc. and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from the University Mohamed Vin collaboration with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology in 2008 and 2013.Before starting his academic career in 2017, Dr. Gahi worked for many international consulting firms, from 2008 to 2017, as a software engineer, solution architect,and IT senior consultant in Mobile, J2EE, and Big Data technologies. As a researcher, he authored more than 30 scientific contributions in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His research topics are focused on Big Data management, Big Data quality, Big Data security, Recommendation Systems, and Cloud computing models for data privacy.

Dr. Mohd Dilshad Ansari is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Guru Nanak University, Hyderabad, India. He obtained his Ph.D and M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat, Solan, HP, India in 2018 and 2011 respectively He received B.Tech in Information Technology from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, UP in 2009. Anand J Kulkarni holds a PhD in Distributed Optimization from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, MS in Artificial Intelligence from University of Regina, Canada, Bachelor of Engineering from Shivaji University, India and Diploma from the Board of Technical Education, Mumbai. He worked as Research Fellow at Odette School of Business, University of Windsor, Canada. Anand worked with Symbiosis International University, Pune, India for over six years. He is currently working as Professor and Associate Director of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at the MITWPU, Pune, India. His research interests include optimization algorithms, multi-objective optimization, continuous, discrete and combinatorial optimization, swarm optimization and self-organizing systems. Anand pioneered optimization methodologies such as Cohort Intelligence, Ideology Algorithm, Expectation Algorithm, and Socio Evolution & Learning Optimization Algorithm. Anand is the founder of Optimization and Agent Technology Research Lab and has published over 70 research papers in peer-reviewed reputed journals, chapters and conferences along with 5 authored and 11 edited books. Anand is the lead series editor for Springer and Taylor & Francis as well as editor of several Elsevier journals. He also writes on AI in several newspapers and magazines. I am now a Lecturer in Industrial Automation, Controls, Instrumentation and Robotics at the School of Engineering and Computing of the University of the West of Scotland located in the beautiful city of Paisley (suburbs of Glasgow in Scotland, UK). I will be teaching Intelligent Systems, Automation, Controls and Robotics. I am doing research in the areas of task certification and sense-and-avoid for small civil unmanned aerial vehicles. Jinane Mounsef is an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computing Sciences department at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Dubai. She received the MSc degree in computer and communication engineering from the American University of Beirut and the PhD degree in electrical engineering from Arizona State University in the U.S. with a focus area in digital image processing. Her research interests include machine learning and computer vision applications in addition to autonomous robotics and human-robot interaction. Dr. Mounsef has a successful record in higher education and a long research experience spanning over more than 15 years, during which she worked with multidisciplinary teams on a long track of research papers and peer reviewed publications in various journals and conferences. She is a member of IEEE and an advisory board member of New York Institute and Lab of Artificial Intelligence (NYILAI). She currently leads the AI/Robotics Laboratory at RIT and plays a key role in the management of multidisciplinary academic, industrial and government projects to identify the next generation of safe and effective use of smart cities. She has widely participated at national and international seminars as a keynote and an invited speaker. Dr. Mounsef was also featured in different online and broadcast media as a prominent researcher in the area of AI

I am Research Associate (Post-doc) at the University of Edinburgh. My aim of research is to give the robots the capability of moving out of their industrial cages and work in cooperation with humans in a shared-working environment whilst guaranteeing the safety of both humans and robots, by proposing controller algorithms that make them compliant and passive when they come to close interaction with humans/environment. Despite significant improvement in some specific applications like medical robotics, there is still the need for a general control framework that improves interaction robustness and motion dynamics. During my MSc. and PhD., I did work with different stationary-based and mobile-based robots such as: 6-DoF KUKA LWR 3 and Franka Emika. I did evaluate my proposed algorithms using them and the results of the carried out experiments can be found in: Fractal Impedance for Passive Controllers, Robust High-Transparency Haptic Exploration for Dexterous Telemanipulation and Robust and Dexterous Dual arm Tele Cooperation using Fractal Impedance Control. I am currently working on designing, building and implementing control algorithms for extendable soft robots to enhance healthcare with assistive robotic mobile manipulation: Design, Modelling and Control of an Extensible Flexible Finger for Robotic Manipulation. Yeliz Karaca is an assistant professor of applied mathematics, and a researcher at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, USA. She received her Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Marmara University, Istanbul, Turkiye in 2012. Among the other awards she has been given, she was also granted the “Cooperation in Neurological Sciences and Support Award” by Turkish Neurology Association as the first mathematician in Türkiye. She has been acting as an associate editor, editor and guest editor in many SCI indexed journals. Her research interests focus on computational methods, complex systems, computational complexity, nonlinear dynamics, fractals, fractional calculus, multifractional methods with their applications, evolutionary computation, control and visualization, wavelets and entropy, advanced AI applications, solutions of advanced mathematical challenges, mathematical neuroscience and biology as well as advanced data analysis in medicine and other related domains.

Jian Guan received her doctor degree of medicine (pathology) in PUMC in 2001 and engaged in her molecular pathology research in department of pathology in PUMCH. Then she also pay her attention to medical ethics and IP of biotechnology when she became vice director of office of research management since 2005. She completed postdoctoral research work (Gene Patent Issues in USA) in Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences(CASS) in 2012. In the same year she went to NIH clinical center and accepted training program of clinical and translational research management. Her research interests are mainly in molecular pathology, molecular oncology, medical ethics and patent law. AHLAM ALTHOBAITI (Graduate Student Member, IEEE) received the master’s degree in computer science from the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 2016. She is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree (Hons.) with the School of Computing and Communications (SCC), Lancaster University, Lancaster, U.K. She holds the post of a Lecturer with the Computer Science Department, College of Computers and Information Technology, Taif University, Saudi Arabia. She has peer-reviewed published articles on network protocol design and energy modeling and the security of distributed renewable energy sources (DRES). Her research interests include data analytics, artificial intelligence, cyber-physical systems, and industrial system cybersecurity with special focuses on anomaly detection for smart energy systems, cybersecurity for DRES, and energy theft in modern power grids. She received a First-Class Honours Award from Taif University, in 2010, and a Scholarship for the Ph.D. degree.
