Dr. G. Lavieu is a cell biologist/biochemist expert in membrane trafficking. G. Lavieu is currently an INSERM (National Institute of Health and Medical Research) permanent Investigator, Director of the U1316 laboratory, and “Chaire d’ Excellence” at Université Paris Cité. G. Lavieu and his research group aim at characterizing the intercellular transport mediated by extracellular vesicles (exosomes), at both cellular and molecular levels.

Dr. Jing Bai is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), where she joined in August 2007. She received her M.Sc degree and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology (Atlanta, Georgia) in 2003 and 2007, respectively. Her current research activities focus on nano-optoelectronics, nano-photovoltaics, metamaterials, nonlinear optics, quantum optics and biomedical engineering with both fundamental and applied interests. Her research at UMD is supported by grants from the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Whiteside Institute for Clinical Research, the Graduate School of the University of Minnesota, and the MnDRIVE Initiatives. She served as the Department Head from 2019 to 2022 and the Director of Graduate Studies from 2014 to 2018.

Having been a Tutor with the Open University for over 30 years John O Roberts has become an Independent Researcher since 2010. Dr. Rong R. Wang is a Professor of Chemistry and Director of the International Center for Sensor Science and Engineering (ICSSE) at Illinois Tech. Her research focuses on developing novel materials, methods, and devices for disease diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment. With extensive study of collagen in clinical tissues, her group develops high-performance protein-CNT materials with tunable biochemical composition and biophysical properties and stimuli-responsive for tissue repair and cell therapeutics. Her group is also developing a portable salivary sensor device, coupled with machine learning and nano/microfabrication, to assess the risk of periodontal disease with high-risk comorbidities. Her research has been supported by NIH, NSF, DOE, NASA, and FDA, as well as local funds and private foundations.

Prof. Sannino obtained M.Sc in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Naples and a Ph.D. in Thermomechanical Engineering Systems from the University of Salerno, Italy. She is now an associate professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Salerno University, Italy. His research interests focused on the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials, nanocomposites, and structured materials, devoted to catalysis and to several applications mainly in the field of sustainable chemical processes and for the environment. She has published more than 170refereed journal papers and her paper citation was 4983, (SCOPUS 08/2022) with H-index=40. She has 8italian and international patents. She is a member of the Italian Association of Chemical Engineering (AIDIC), the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), the Italian zeolites association (AIZ), the American Chemical Society (ACS), of Consortium INSTM.

As a cell and molecular biologist with more than a decade of expertise in membrane trafficking pathways, She now studying the molecular mechanisms governing extracellular vesicles (EVs) internalization and capitalize on these studies for vectorization purposes.

Prof. Arturs Medvids, an optics, and spectroscopy physicist graduated from the Physics department of Kyiv State University, Ukraine, in 1968. He worked for the Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences from 1959-1969. In 1994 obtained a degree Dr. habil. Phys., with specialization: Solid State Physics at Latvian University, Riga. Since 1989 he has been the head of the Laboratory of Semiconductor Physics at Riga Technical University and since 1995 - Professor at the Institute of Technical Physics of Riga Technical University. In 2001 and 2017 he worked in Japan as an invited professor at Shizuoka University. Prof. Iman Roqan is a founding faculty member at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology(KAUST). She is said to be the first Saudi women to build an international laboratory in Saudi Arabia. At KAUST, she heads the Semiconductor and Material Spectroscopy Group. She completed her MSc. Degree in Photonics and Optoelectronic Devices from University of St Andrews and Heriot-Watt University, in the United Kingdom. She pursued her doctoral program in Semiconductor Physics and Spectroscopy from University of Strathclyde in 2008. She joined KAUST in 2009 as a faculty member. She has an involvement in developing the program in her new department in KAUST as a founding faculty. From 2009 to 2014 she was an academic visitor at Imperial College London and University of Strathclyde, UK. In 2012, she received a prestigious international teaching award from the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) and the American Physics Society (APS), recognizing her dedication to enhancing the understanding and appreciation of physics through teaching. In 2015, she received a young scientist award from the Venus International Foundation (VIF) in India and best paper in UV LED conference in Berlin in2023. She is an author of more than 120 papers and 12 patents. She has been invited in prestigious conferences such as IEEE and SPIE Photonic West. She has been guest Editor in Materials and she was organizing several international workshops on Semiconductors and III-nitrides. Prof. Roqan’s research focuses on optical materials for optoelectronic devices. Mainly, she works on wide-band-gap semiconductors such (as oxide and GaN materials) for optoelectronic applications such as UV and white emitting devices and photodetectors. She has built her advanced spectroscopy lab at KAUST, while she developed many fabrication methods to improve the functionality of these materials. Her research encompasses physical and materials engineering disciplines. She is presently developing a novel optical characterization methodology that can be applied to demonstrate the potential of advanced materials for new applications.

Dr. Liaohai Chen is a Research Professor of Surgery and Director of Surgical Innovation and Training Laboratory at University of Illinois at Chicago. He also holds a joint appointment at the Bioscience Division, Argonne National Laboratory. His research effort lies on fostering the convergence of engineering with physical sciences and life sciences and research projects focus on translational aims in developing smart tools for surgery and nanostructures and probes for early disease diagnosis and molecular imaging. Current research themes include: 1. Implementing digital surgery initiative to enable surgical automation and an AI enabled surgical context awareness system; 2. Applying intraprocedural tissue spectroscopic and imaging tools to unveil nerves, vessels, or tumor mass, thus to reduce surgical injuries, and to precisely margin a tumor mass; 3. Developing reagents and devices to monitor disease biomarker pre-surgery and tissue function biomarker post-surgery; 4.Developing reagents and methods with dual functions of imaging and therapy for surgical oncology. Dr. Chen’s research has been supported by NIH, DOE, DARPA, as well as local funds and private foundations. Dr. Chen has served on multiple NIH Study Sections and review panels for other funding agencies.

Ralu Divan (Ph.D. chemistry) has been with Argonne National Laboratory since 1999. Dr. Divan is a Senior Chemist with the Center for Nanoscale Materials, with micro- and nano-fabrication expertise of 30+ years in materials, processes, and device integration. She has authored and co-authored more than 230 published papers in, four patents, is a recipient of an R&D 100 Award for developing an anti-scatter grids for X-ray imaging and collimators for nuclear imaging, and an R&D Award Finalist for the research for high sensitive methane sensors. Her expertise includes the domains of high resolution, high aspect ratio lithographic processes, etching and growth processes for advanced micro and nano devices, characterizing chemical and lithographic properties of materials, synthesis of nanoparticles and their integration in micro-nanodevices, characterizing interfacial and compatibility properties of materials used in MEMS and NEMS, and development of membrane-based devices.

Dr. In Su Lee received his Ph.D. (2000) from Seoul National University under the supervision of Professor Young Keun Chung. After working as a senior researcher at LG chemical (2000–2003), post-doctoral research with Jeffrey Long at UC Berkeley (2003–2005), and research with Taeghawn Hyeon for Creative Research Initiative Center for Oxide Nanocrystalline Materials at Seoul National University (2005–2006), he worked at KyungHee University as an assistant and associate professor (2006–2011). After this, he moved to POSTECH and joined the Department of Chemistry. He is now a professor of Chemistry at POSTECH and also the director of the Creative Research Initiative Center for Nanospace-Confined Chemical Reactions (NCCR). His current research is focused on studying the spatially confined reactions that occur within nanosized solid-state or solution-phase media and developing nanomaterials for applications in catalysis and biomedical fields.

Dr. Niloufar Raeis-Hosseini (PhD., member of MRS, EMRS, ECS, RSC, CPE, IEEE_W, IEEE_WEng, Royal Society) is an assistant professor at Cranfield University, “School of Aerospace, Transport and Manufacturing.” She formerly was an honorary research fellow at “Imperial College London” (2018-2022). She is an international expert with more than a decade of fruitful experience in the fabrication, characterization, and analysis of nanoelectronics and nanophotonics. She is affiliated with the “Composites and Advanced Material Centre” at Cranfield University. Her research team is developing nanocomposites (based on carbon nanotube and graphene) for energy storage and data storage systems, considering emerging nonvolatile memories (eNVMs). She is interested in developing sustainable storage devices (including flexible biocompatible nanoelectronics) and energy-efficient next-generation data storage systems.

Dr. Hongfa (Henry) Hu is a tenured full Professor at the Department of Mechanical, Automotive & Materials Engineering, University of Windsor since 2006. He was an associate professor at the University of Windsor(2000-2005), a senior research engineer at Ryobi Die Casting (USA) (1999-2000), a Chief Metallurgist at Meridian Technologies (1997-1998), and a Research Scientist at Institute of Magnesium Technology (1996-1997). He received degrees from the University of Toronto (Ph.D., 1996), the University of Windsor (M.A.Sc., 1991), and the Shanghai University of Technology (B.A.Sc., 1985). He was an NSERC Industrial Research Fellow (1995-1997). His publications (over 150 papers) are in the area of magnesium alloys, composites, metal casting, computer modeling, and physical metallurgy. He was a Key Reader of the Board of Review of Metallurgical and Materials Transactions, a Committee Member of the Grant Evaluation Group for Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, National Science Foundation (USA), and Canadian Metallurgical Quarterly. He has served as a member or chairman of various committees for CIM-METSOC, AFS, and USCAR. The applicant’s current research is on materials processing and evaluation of light alloys and composites. His recent fundamental research is focused on transport phenomena and mechanisms of solidification, phase transformation, and dissolution kinetics. His applied research has included the development of magnesium automotive applications, cost-effective casting processes for novel composites, and control systems for casting processes. His work on light alloys and composites has attracted the attention of several automotive companies. He has published over 200 articles in refereed international journals and conference proceedings.

Prof. Andrey V. Ragulya is a Full member of the National academy of sciences of Ukraine and a full member of the International Institute of Science of Sintering. Dr. A. Ragulya graduated from the Moscow Institute of Fine Chemical Technology (USSR) in 1983. The M.S. degree in Powder metallurgy and Materials science he received in the Baikov Institute of Metallurgy AS of the USSR in 1985. In the Frantsevich Institute for Problems of Materials Science NAS of Ukraine (IPMS) in Kyiv he defended his Ph.D. (1993) and D.Sc. (2001) and was awarded a set of doctoral degrees. Since 1985 he works for IPMS and deals with the science and technology of sintering. At the beginning of 90th Dr. A. Ragulyaisanauthorofthestricttheoreticalbasisforthewell-knownprocesstitledRateControlledSintering (RCS), which previously had been experimentally considered by Prof. H. Palmour III. For the first time, rate-controlled sintering has been applied in the area of nano-grained sintered materials. He put forward a new ideology of so-called rate-controlled thermally activated processes, which has been confirmed experimentally for numerous technological processes, in particular, the synthesis of nano-sized particles of ceramic and metallic materials. His recent and today’s research activity is focused on obtaining and characterization of nano-sized particles and nanostructured ceramics & ceramic nanocomposites. In 2015 he was awarded the State Prize of Ukraine for these efforts. Since 2002 he is on the position of vice-Director of IPMS and a reader of nanomaterials research & development at IPMS. Dr. Dong-Kwon Lim received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Seoul National University in 2011, he then conducted postdoctoral research at MIT (David H Koch Institutes, Laboratory of Prof. Robert Langer) and Harvard Medical School (Children’s Hospital Boston) (2011∼2013). After starting his independent position at Chonbuk National University (Jeonju city, South Korea) for 2 years, in 2015, he is an associate professor at KU-KIST Graduate School of Converging Science and Technology at Korea University (Seoul, South Korea), and director of the Center for bio-innovative advanced materials (BK21 program). Dr. Lim contributed to the field of DNA-based nanostructure synthesis for single molecule surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS). His current research interests include the development of novel plasmonic nanomaterials for SERS-based bioapplications and solar-induced photocatalytic applications as well as bioimaging applications with novel plasmonic nanostructures.

Dr. Le Thi Mai Hoa is currently a Head of the Laboratory for Nanomaterials and Application at the Institute for Nanotechnology, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam). Dr. Le Thi Mai Hoa is an expert in the synthesis and thermal, structural, and physicochemical properties of nanomaterials, functional materials, peptide-nanoparticles, carbon nanotubes/graphene-magnetic hybrid materials, and their applications in the fields as membrane, oil/ water separation, water treatment, supercapacitors, lithium-ion batteries, biomedicine. Dr. Le Thi Mai Hoa received her Bachelor's degree (1996) and Master’s degree (2001) from Ha Noi University of Science and Technology (Vietnam) in Engineering Physics. In 2014, she received a Ph.D. degree in Material Science from the Grenoble Institute of Technology, France. Le Thi Mai Hoa is the author/co-author of more than 60 scientific publications in material science and has an h-index of 15. For the moment, Dr. Le Thi Mai Hoa has given 9 invited talks at international congresses on materials sciences.

Yinan Lu earned her bachelor's and master's degrees at Nanyang Technological University. Currently, she is enrolled in a Ph.D. program at University College London, focusing on the synthesis of nanomaterials applied in energy storage systems with a specific emphasis on lithium and zinc ion batteries.

Dr. Chenhao Sun is an Associate Professor in the College of Geosciences at China University of Petroleum Beijing. He obtained his Ph.D. degree and BSc degree with Honors Class 1 and University Medal in Petroleum Engineering from UNSW Sydney. Prof. Sun has a broad range of research interests in geo-energy engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, and fundamental physics with applications to hydrocarbon recovery, subsurface hydrology, and CO2/energy geo-storage. Dr. Mohammad Faisal has completed his PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India and postdoctoral studies from Korea Institute of Science and Technology, Seoul, South Korea and Ajou University, Suwon, South Korea. His research interests include microstructure engineering, (metal hydride, high entropy alloys, nanohybrids and nanomaterials) based hydrogen storage materials and systems, hydrogen generation and fuel cell applications. Currently, he is a post doctoral research fellow at Center for Sustainable Energy Use in Food Chains at Brunel University London, United Kingdom.

Altantuya Ochirkhuyag is an environmental chemist with a PhD in environmental science from the University of Szeged in Hungary. She is currently a full-time researcher at the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and a part-time lecturer at the National University of Mongolia.She focuses primarily on the synthesis of nanomaterials from natural mineral and waste-derived materials.

Ms. Zahra Noori is a Ph.D. student from Iran. Her Ph.D. project has two parts, i.e., experimental and computational. To begin with, she synthesized some nano perovskites and studied their performance in degrading resistant dyes, for example, Alizarin and Alizarin Red S (ARS). They had good performance in environmental conditions and without acid or base. She was curious to know the reason for the dye's resistance to degradation and only computational chemistry could answer my questions. For this reason, she came to the University of Barcelona and follow her aim in computational chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jordi Poater at the IQTCUB institute in Barcelona. Thus, the second part of her thesis is based on a study of the effect of EDG and EWG groups on the UV-Vis spectrum of anthraquinone derivatives. She has acquired extensive knowledge of quantum chemical techniques, including bonding analysis and UV-Vis spectra, and for this reason, She has decided to follow computational chemistry in her future research.

Dr. Anahita Motamedisade, highly capable and motivated researcher, and research assistant with 12 years’ experience in several laboratory environments with different subjects, such as Chemistry (Organic and Inorganic), Polymer, Nano Science, Material etc. who is skilled working with several characterization methods such as GC, HPLC, FTIR, XRD, SEM, EDS, XPS, TGA, TEM, NMR. Anahita is a fourth-year PhD candidate at Flinders University in Australia who is truly keen to work, research and preparation of the new nanocomposites efficient in several applications which is mostly appropriate for environmental sustainability. The projects in different fields of chemistry not only equipped her with a certain set of skills but also helped her know her fields of interest, Nanotechnology particularly in catalytic systems. After she graduated in applied chemistry, in 2011 she put a lot of efforts to be accepted into a better university to pursue her aims as a Master of Science Student. As a result, she achieved the 99th place among all the participants in the field of chemistry amongst more than twenty thousand attendances and she continued her studies based on her personal preference, which was Organic Chemistry. She was also lucky enough to gain a lot of experience in the applications of synthesis of organic compounds and she ranked 1st in organic chemistry courses amongst the other students. As a result, it arose a kind of motivation in her to become a hardworking researcher from 2013 to 2018 at Sharif University of Technology, the best university in Iran in a new field, Heterogeneous Catalysis and Polymer Science. It was a great opportunity for her especially; using her synthesis knowledge in creation of novel polymeric nanocomposites used as the suitable supports for heterogeneous catalytic applications. Also, she was awarded a Scholarship for travel to Germany as a visitor researcher at Ulm University in 2017 and it was such a good chance for her working on “synthesis of molecular metal oxide catalysts used in water splitting reactions” and being familiar with the new window of science, photocatalytic systems and she used this knowledge to do her PhD, to synthesis of gold nanoclusters and novel substrates efficient for photocatalyst systems. Then, she was awarded an Australian Government Research Training Program Scholarship to commence her PhD. in July 2019 working in “Preparation of the functionalized mesoporous TiO2 as an efficient substrate for loading the prepared gold clusters; their photocatalytic activity investigation” project. What was impressive and influential in determining her path was that she succeeded to synthesize gold nanoclusters with different sizes applicable in various industries for the first time in Australia, and different kinds of mesoporous TiO2 substrates in the first year of her candidature. It made her motivated to investigate using these nanomaterials in the areas she loves to work, sustainability in the environment, in hydrogen generation and water purification. Moreover, she used her new idea in Wine Australia’s annual scholarships for postgraduate students subject to winery wastewater treatment application and she could be one of the successful 10 candidates awarded the Wine Australia’s scholarships for 2021 among many excellent, and competitive applications. Also, she was selected as a MENTEE in the 2020/2021 Industry Mentoring Network in STEM (IMNIS) program by Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and graduated successfully

Dr. Valeri Ligatchev was born in Russia in 1959. He had obtained his MS, Ph.D., and Doctor of Science (the equivalent of Habilitation) degrees in Moscow Power Engineering Institute (MPEI, Russia) in 1982, 1988 and 1998, respectively. In MPEI he worked as a researcher (senior researcher) and lecturer from 1988 till 1999. From 1999 till 2014 he is working (and lived) in Singapore: in Nanyang Technological University (1999 – 2005), NanoScience Innovation Pte. Ltd. (2005 – 2006), and Institute of High-Performance Computing, A*STAR (2006 – 2014). He became an author (co-author) of 81 journal articles, 104 conference abstracts, and proceeding articles as well as of 7 books and book chapters. He is a member of The Electrochemical Society since 2007. His name had been included in 2011 Edition of Marquis Who's Who in the World. His main areas of scientific interest and expertise comprise experimental, computational and theoretical investigations on thermal, vibrational, electronic, optical, relaxation time, and defect states spectra of various semiconductors, insulators, and even superconductors, including nominally undoped and heavily doped polycrystalline and nano-crystalline diamond(s), silicon-germanium ‘quantum dots’, silicon nano-wires and ‘molecular wires’, amorphous hydrogenated silicon-based semiconductor films, porous ‘low-k’ organic and inorganic insulating layers, graphene flakes as well as ceramic insulators with ‘gigantic dielectric response’ (GDR). He also substantiated condensed phases of Fröhlich polarons as the essence of the GDR phenomenon, as well as implemented (abbreviated) Fock space formalism at the interpretation of the physical essences of the exponential (Urbach) tail in optical and electronic spectra of polycrystalline and spatially non-homogeneous semiconductors and insulators as well as their anharmonic lattice thermal capacity. These key innovations were implemented at the interpretation of experimentally validated effects of morphology (i.e., shape, size(s) and crystalline orientation – if any) on near-band-gap and intra-gap electronic spectra of polycrystalline and spatially non-homogeneous amorphous semiconductors, insulators and diamond-based superconductors, as well as their lattice thermal capacity. Furthermore, he had prompted advanced mathematical methods in the interpretation of data from several well-established techniques of defect states spectroscopy, employed at actual experimental investigations of defects states of various semiconductors and insulators

Dr. Junxin Wang is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie International Fellow at the Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge under the supervision of Professor Rachel Evans. Before that, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Chemistry, the University of Oxford with Professor Dermot O’Hare. He received his Ph.D. degree at the Department of Engineering Sciences at Uppsala University in 2019, under Professor Gunnar Niklasson’s supervision. His MPhil project was guided by Professor Jianfang Wang at the Physics Department at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His current research focuses on developing luminescent solar concentrators and electrochromic materials.

Dr. Emilia Visileanu is a scientific researcher with her first degree and a Ph.D. In sciences since 1996. During 1997-2011 she is a General Manager of INCDTP Bucharest, and now she is a first-degree researcher at INCDTP. The research activity focused on topics of more than 100 national and international projects (FP V, FP VI, FP VII, EUREKA, MANU NET, ERASMUS +, etc.) both as project manager and member in the inter and transdisciplinary teams. Expertise in smart textiles materials obtained by classical and unconventional (electrospinning) technologies, technologies for functionalization textile materials with NP and studies on the influence of NPs on human health, textile, medical devices (bandages, 3D textile structures for hernias and eventration, composite structures for healing burns, etc.).The research activity was disseminated by the publishing of over 100 scientific papers in journals and proceedings volumes indexed by ISI/BDI, 5 books and chapters of specialized books, and 27 patents.

Jung-Chang Wang (J.-C. Wang) is a full Professor (http://ind.ntou.edu.tw/~ntou7109/01/index.html) in the School of Marine Engineering (D.M.E.), National Taiwan Ocean University (NTOU), Keelung, Taiwan (http://scholars.ntou.edu.tw/cris/rp/rp00294), and is the Director of the Thermal-Fluid Illumination Laboratory (http://www.tfi.mt4.tw/). He received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and a Mechanical Ph.D. from National Taiwan University (NTU) in Taiwan in 2007. He has published more than 100 research papers in international journals, conferences, and patents, and edited five book chapters (http://www.researcherid.com/rid/G-4831-2010). His main research interest includes applied and software engineering in thermal-fluid science. Research Interests：Two-Phase Flow、Green Energy、Thermal Module、Surface Heat Treatment for Fins、Thermo-Electric NanoFluids、CFD Numerical Method and LED.

Alexander Shobogun was the only child. His parents and aunts lived with him in the little area where he was raised. As a result, he never truly understood what it was like to be a child. Alexander did not learn how to interact successfully with other children because the people in his immediate environment were also highly overprotective. He had grown accustomed to being among adults as a child. He was consistently older than the other students at school. Even when he made friends, he frequently felt irritated with them as he grew up because he thought they were too immature. Alexander's parents made significant investments in him, which inspired him to do well in all his classes and in any extracurricular activities he chooses to pursue. He acknowledges that when he was younger, He did not know it then, but it had taken him years to develop self-awareness. Alexander began to feel the strain of her parents' and aunts' high expectations while he was a senior in high school. He gradually ceased participating in extracurricular activities and started choosing to work. He encourages fighting for what you desire and believe in and doing it through God because nothing great comes easy and with God everything is possible. He did not receive the valedictorian honor, but he still placed first in his class and graduated. Apart from the above, I have keen interest in cyber security and enjoy reading, writing stories and most importantly spending time with my loved ones.
