Professor Paulo Roberto Vilela Dias holds a Master's in Civil Engineering (UFF). Civil Engineer (UFRJ). He is the Founder (1978) and president (1999 - current) of IBEC - Brazilian Institute of Cost Engineering and also the Director of ICEC - International Cost Engineering Council (2014 - current). He is the author of 5 books on Cost Engineering. He is a member of ABC and the FEBRAE Director. He is also an AFEA President and Counselor at Crea-RJ. Dr. Nguyen is Brace Endowed Chair Professor of Civil Engineering at McGill University, Canada. He has been for more than ten years as Chair of the Civil Engineering Department, Director of Brace Centre for Water Resources Management, and Associate Director of Global Environmental and Climate Change Centre at McGill. Dr. Nguyen is widely recognized for his novel research in Hydrologic Engineering and Water Management that has significantly impacted engineering practices worldwide with over 250 influential peer-reviewed publications. More specifically, his pioneering research covers a remarkable range of topics including climate change impact and adaptation, modeling of hydrologic extremes, and watershed modeling for sustainable water resource development. Mario de Miranda is a bridge designer. His work, experience, and research are mainly related to the design and construction of cable-stayed and suspension bridges, wind engineering, and the history of construction. He obtained his Civil Engineering degree from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, in 1979. He is a partner and director of Studio de Miranda Associati - Consulting Engineers. His areas of expertise are in the conception, design, analysis, and construction of steel and concrete structures, mainly in relation to cable-suspended bridges. The significant experience was also exerted in construction methods and special structures. He has been involved with many major projects, most of them as lead designer, including large cable-stayed bridges in Italy, Algeria, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, and India, as well as with the construction engineering of the Storebaelt suspension bridge in Denmark, the second longest bridge in the world. He his an active member of IABSE - International Association of Bridges and Structural Engineers, and was President of CTA, Collegio dei Tecnici dell’Acciaio, the Italian association for research and advancement of Steel Construction. He was the advisor of the Italian Ministry of Public Works on the safety of existing bridges. He has been an Invited Professor of Structural Design at IUAV Venice University. He has given lectures on bridge design and construction in many countries and is the author of more than 70 papers on bridges and structures, many on really built bridges on his design, and chapters of books on the same subject as well as of patents of construction methods.

Dr. Nawawi CHOUW is an Associate Professor and was Director of the University of Auckland Centre for Earthquake Engineering Research. Before joining the University of Auckland, he worked at universities in Germany, Japan and Australia. He received his doctorate in Civil Engineering from the Ruhr University Bochum in Germany. He has twice been awarded the Gledden Fellowship of the University of Western Australia, the Fritz-Peter-Mueller Prize of the Technical University of Karlsruhe, Germany, the Best Research Award of Chugoku Denryoku Research Foundation, Japan, and received two recognitions for excellence in research supervision from Chinese Scholarship Council. He has been invited by the Chinese Ministry of Education, the New Zealand Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment, the Qatar Science Foundation, the SA National Research Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service and other European Research Institutions to assess applications and international standing of peers. He has published more than 400 publications including 137 international journal papers. He was invited to teach at several universities in Europe, China and Japan. He was guest editor of several journals, e.g., Protective Structures, Soil Dynamics and Earthquake Engineering. He is associate editor of Materials, Shock and Vibration and Frontiers in Build Environment – Earthquake Engineering and serves on the editorial board of several international journals. He has been visiting and guest professor at several universities in China, Germany, Canada, Australia, Serbia, Macedonia and Japan.

Dr. Dai-Yeun Jeong is presently the Director of the Asia Climate Change Education Center and an emeritus professor of environmental sociology at Jeju National University in South Korea. He received a BA and MA degrees in sociology from Korea University (South Korea), and a Ph.D. in environmental sociology from the University of Queensland (Australia). He was a professor of environmental sociology at Jeju National University (South Korea) from 1981 to 2012. His past major professional activities include being a teaching professor at the University of Sheffield in UK, the president of Asia-Pacific Sociological Association, a delegate of South Korean Government to United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), a delegate of South Korean Government to OECD environmental meeting, and a member of Presidential Commission on the Sustainable Development Republic of Korea, etc. He has published 60 environment-related research papers in domestic and international journals and 13 books including Environmental Sociology. He has conducted 100 unpublished environment-related research projects funded by domestic and international organizations.

Dr. Faisal Manzoor Arain is an experienced construction project management professional and academic leader with an MS and Ph.D. in Construction Project Management. Dr. Arain is currently the Vice President, Academic & Administration at the KLC College, Ontario and the CEO of AM Management Global Inc, Alberta, Canada. Dr. Arain worked as Chair, Construction Project Management with Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Calgary, Alberta. Professor Young-Jin Cha received his Ph.D. (2008) from Texas A&M University in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He served as a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) (2012). He is the pioneer in deep learning-based automated structural health monitoring with autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) have led to the publication of 41 peer-reviewed, high-impact papers in top journals including one editorial. He was listed in the Top 0.45% cited scientists within the Civil Engineering field and the top 2% cited scientists in all areas of science and engineering for a single year impact in the world in 2021. He organized many symposiums in the MIT and Caltech through Engineering Mechanics Institute Conferences with the topics of Deep Learning and Autonomous UAVs for SHM. He is serving as an Associate Editor in Engineering Report, Wiley, and core peer-reviewers and Editorial Board Members in many top engineering journals associated with ASCE, Elsevier, IEEE, and Wiley.

Born on 1945 in Padua, Italy. In 1969, he graduated in Civil Engineering. In 1972, he started his teaching activity at IUAV, the University of Venice, when in 1994 he become full professor of Theory and Design of Bridges. At present he is Rector of on line University eCampus Italy where he teaches Bridge Theory and Design. In China he is Consultant Professor at the College of Civil Engineering of Tongji University, Shanghai-China, Adjunct Professor at Fuzhou University and Chang’An University, Xi’An-China, former member of CUN, National University Council at the Ministry of Education in Rome (2007-2015) and deputy president (2007- 2013). Awarded the honorary degree in Architecture by Politecnico di Bari, 2009. After his Graduation, over the years he has carried out in-depth research into the theme of Bridges, devoting a large part of his academic activity to teaching structures to architects in order to reach the highest point of connection between structure and form, mechanical behaviour and aesthetics features. This objective has been carried out giving huge importance the conceptual design of bridges, paying particular attention to their integration in the landscape, in order to obtain a more sustainable and less invasive development of infrastructures. As an expert on structural mechanics and concrete structures, he has performed important researches on both these topics at National and International level within the IUAV, mainly within CEB FIP (later FIB) as member of the editorial board of CEB FIP MODEL CODE '90. With reference to the professional field, Enzo Siviero has designed several outstanding structures alone or in team with some engineers and architects. His main fields of activity are those of conceptual and detailed design, durability of concrete structures, structural diagnosis and monitoring, refurbishment and strengthening of bridges, flyovers and footbridges. He is author and editor of numerous books and articles on reinforced and prestressed concrete, management of structural works, conservation, rebuilding and strengthening of roads, bridge design and large structures. He is also author or co-author of many technical-scientific papers. In 1999, he inaugurated the exhibition “Enzo Siviero: the theme of the bridge” which has been presented in many Italian and European Universities. In 2009, he inaugurated his important exhibition “Ponteggiando – Bridging” which is currently touring various Universities all around the world, from Europe to China India Africa and America. Professionally, he is active both in Italy and abroad in the field of building industry, structures and infrastructures especially bridges, viaducts and roads. In 2019 he inaugurated the third exhibition Enzo Siviero The Bridge Men (Reggio Calabria Italy).

Short biographical note: Claudio Borri(born in 1953 in FiglineValdarno, by Florence) studied Civil Engineering at Univ. of Florence (Italy) and (later on) at Ruhr-Univ. Bochum (Germany), achieving a Degree in Civil Engineering in 1978 and a Ph.D. in Structural Mechanics in 1982. He was appointed as Research Assoc. (1983-90), then as Assoc. Professor (1991) and in 2002as Full professor (Ordinario) of Struct. Mechanics, Computational Mechanics and Chair of Wind Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Florence (Italy); there he has also served for two decades as the Vice-Dean for International Affairs (1992-2012). In 1992 Prof. Borri was the co-founder of CRIACIV(i.e. the Inter-University Research Centre on Building Aerodynamics& Wind Engineering) and was responsible for building and developing the first Italian Wind Engrg. Lab. with a Boundary-Layer Wind Tunnel(CRIACIV groups, till nowadays, 8 Italian Universities and is the oldest research centre of this kind in Italy). In 2004 Prof. Borri was elected as Director of CRIACIV a function which he kept until the end of 2012; when (October 2012), he was elected as the Dean & Head (Direttore) of the Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineering, DICEA, of the Univ. of Florence (Dec. 2012 – Oct. 2016).

Dr. Boyd obtained a BScEng from the University of New Brunswick (1993), a MASc from the University of Toronto (1995), and a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia (2001), all in Civil Engineering. He joined the Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University in 2006, following a six-year stint in the University of Florida Department of Civil & Coastal Engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in Canada, was named a Fellow of the American Concrete Institute in 2008, and former chair of the nondestructive testing committees of both ACI and ASTM. Prof. Boyd’s research interests lie in the areas of construction materials and sustainability, particularly as they relate to transportation infrastructure. Specific fields of research include durability, nondestructive testing & evaluation, standards & specifications, repair & rehabilitation, recycling, and hazardous waste reduction & mitigation.

Zhuming Bi (Senior Member, IEEE) received the dual Ph.D. degree from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, and the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, SK, Canada, in 1994 and 2002, respectively. He is currently the Harris Chair ofWireless Communications and Applied Research and a Professor with the Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University Fort Wayne (PFW). He has authored or coauthored four books, including three of them on Finite Element Analysis Applications, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing, and Digital Manufacturing. He has published ten book chapters, 165 journal articles, and over 60 articles in conference proceedings. His research interests include the Internet of Things, enterprise systems, digital manufacturing, finite element analysis, machine designs, and robotics and automation.

Dr. Alcestis Rodi is a tenured associate professor at the Department of Architecture, University of Patras.

She studied architecture at the School of Architecture, National Technical University, Athens (Dipl. Arch., 1994), before completing her Master’s of Architecture in Urban Design at the Harvard Graduate School of Design (1997) as a National Greek Foundation scholar and a Harvard /Doxiadis fellow. In 2008 she received her Ph.D. in Engineering from the Delft University of Technology as a Micheli's grantee. In her dissertation, she developed a new design tool for the regeneration of city centers towards a creative city by transforming the city block. In 2018-2019 she was a visiting fellow at the School of Architecture and Planning, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as an Onassis Foundation and Latsis Foundation grantee.

She had practiced architecture and urban design in the USA before she established her practice in Athens in 1999, focusing on the design and construction of housing projects at various scales and contexts. She was an advisor on urban issues to the Vice President of the Greek Government (2010-12).

Her current research and recent academic publications focus on urban morphology and the making of more sustainable, resilient, inclusive, accessible and healthycities. Within this framework she introduced in 2015 the concept of ‘Bricolage Urbanism’. She has done extensive research on Modern Greek architecture and planning that resulted in the publication of the book Modern Architectures in History: Greece (Reaktion Books, 2013) with Alexander Tzonis. She was the editor and a contributor to several collective volumes. Her design work and academic articles have been published in international books and periodicals and have received international awards.

Bashir Salah, Associate Professor at the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies in Tripoli - Libya (Head of the Construction Division at the Libyan Academy). Dr. Bashir Salah obtained his Ph.D. from the Warsaw University of Technology in 2013. In the field of construction design for structures that are exposed to exceptional events (explosions and fires) using modeling and simulation technology. Master's degree in Structural Design of Tall Buildings using the Euro Code for ٍ Steel-Concrete Composite Materials in 2007. He did a 3-year post-doc in South Africa, Poland, and Japan, and then joined Technical Education as a lecturer in 2014.

From April 2014 to April 2019, he was also a researcher at the Department of Civil Engineering, the University of Tripoli, State of Libya. One of his papers was selected as the best research paper published in the Scientific Journal of Architecture (SJA) in 2013.

Dr. Bashir Salah’s research interests include natural and biological materials and their use in construction and sustainable buildings. Dr. Bashir has the ability to use specialized programs in scientific research. He is experienced in using advanced programs in scientific research and simulation (Abaqus, LsDyna, and MS Patron). He has authored and co-authored more than 50 international scientific papers and more than 20 local scientific papers. So far, he has participated as a keynote speaker in many scientific conferences, the latest of which are the Tripoli University Conference and the Paris Conference in France.

Yong Huang is a full professor of the Division of Intelligent Civil Infrastructure at the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, and is a National Young Talent. He has a Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics from the Harbin Institute of Technology. He also was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Computing & Mathematical Sciences and Department of Mechanical & Civil Engineering at the California Institute of Technology during the period of February 2012 until February 2013 and December 2014 until February 2017, respectively.

Jan Včelák, Ing., Ph.D., researcher in InnoRenew CoE and in CTU-UCEEB, in period 2014-2019 department head in CTU - University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings, department for monitoring and intelligent control and lecturer on CTU. Got his Ph.D. in 2007 on CTU Faculty of electrical engineering. Dr. Cheng Huang is a Research Associate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Imperial College London. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Hunan University and his Master's degree in Structural Engineering from Tongji University, and then his Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from Imperial College London. His principal research interests lie in the areas of structural testing, numerical modeling, and the development of stability and fatigue design guidance for 3D-printed steel structures. She has an engineering degree in Water and Soil Management in 2013, at the Hassan II Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine, Rabat, Morocco. She has 6 papers in international Scopus journals,1 book chapter in springer international publishing. The main research interests are; Climate Change Assessment; Management of erosion and risk of landslides, Soil and Water Conservation Modeling, Wastewater treatment (operations and process), Watershed management and the study of surface-water hydrology, Preservation of Biodiversity, Precision farming, Remote sensing, Cartography, Satellite image processing, Spatial Analysis. Software: Full proficiency in Microsoft Office, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, ENVI, SNAP.

I received a BS and an MS in Chemistry from the Azad University of Iran. I earn an MS in Environmental Engineering from Temple University and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Drexel University. Currently, I am an assistant professor of chemistry at the Community College of Philadelphia. My research activity includes the synthesis of gold and silver nanoparticles and the removal of pollution such as heavy metals from contaminated water and soil using alkali activation coal fly ash.

Dr. Kanish Kapoor is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, India since January 2018. His research interests include reuse and recycling of construction and demolition waste and industrial by-products in conventional, self-compacting, pervious and geopolymer concretes. He is working closely with the construction Industry as well as undertaking consultancy and R&D work. In addition, he has developed many innovative products out of which two products have been granted patents from the Government of India. He has also got a research grant of more than 6 million INR from the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology and a Master's degree in Structural and Construction Engineering from Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology. He is the recipient of a Research Fellowship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development (now the Ministry of Education) for his Ph.D. studies, which he completed in 2017. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers out of which one of his papers won the best paper award at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In addition, he was also awarded Outstanding Young Concrete Technologist for research in concrete composites from Indian Concrete Institute, Chandigarh chapter in the year 2019.

He is working closely with the Industry and in his capacity as the Honorary Secretary of the Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), Chandigarh Centre, has organized several technical events in association with UltraTech Cements Ltd, the largest Cement manufacturing company in India.

I earned a Ph.D. in Materials Engineering, an MS, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. Currently, I am a Professor of Mathematics and Engineering at Thomas Jefferson University.My research activities include:Large scale utilization of coal ash, chemical resistant structures, removal of heavy metals from contaminated water, removal of heavy metals from contaminated soil, removal of hydrocarbon from contaminated sites, ultra-high strength construction materials, and lightweight concrete.

Dr. Hayashi is an Associate Professor of the Department of Architecture at Chiba University, Japan. He received his Ph.D. (Dr. Eng.) at the Setsuna University in 2011. After his PhD, he has worked for Kyoto University (Postdoc, 2011-2014) and Toyohashi University of Technology (Assistant Professor, 2015-2020) in Japan. His research mainly focuses on reinforced concrete structures, foundation structures, disaster prevention and mitigation, structural health monitoring, and advanced seismic design. He has published about 100 technical papers and awarded AIJ Young Researcher Award (Architectural Institute of Japan).

Navdeep Singh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, India. His research interests are the durability behavior of concrete composites, coal combustion products, recycled materials, self-compacting concrete, high-volume fly ash concrete, and non-destructive testing.

Dr. Satyender Singh is working as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr. B R Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar (INDIA). He obtained his Master's and Ph.D. from NIT Hamirpur (India) and worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in CFD Lab. at IIT Bombay (India). His area of research is thermal and fluid engineering, and research interests are "Experimental, analytical and CFD investigations on drag reduction and heat transfer enhancement in textured microfluidics devices; Design and development of thermal systems such as solar collectors and earth to air heat exchangers; Energy conversion and thermal transport, and its applications in energy storage and heat transfer; Development of analytical and CFD solutions for Single, Multiphase Flow and PCM. He is presently working on the development of "Low-cost sustainable Solar Thermal Technology for Rural Development", and has one Start-up "Eon Surya" in this direction. Apart from this, he is developing open-source CFD codes to replace costly CFD software. He has published more than 30 SCI research articles, one book on "Energy storage systems" with Nova Science Publishers, NY, USA, and one patent.

He is a member of many local and international committees OEA, ASCE, ASEE, and UISF.

Dr. Shashi Kant Sharma is working as an Assistant Professor in Civil Engineering Department at DR B R Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar for the past five years. His research area is Highway materials and design, construction, and rehabilitation of Rigid pavements. He has published more than fifteen research papers in this field in International journals of repute. He is actively engaged in guiding research scholars and students at Masters's level apart from teaching Undergraduate students. He has also gained experience in designing and constructing rigid pavements and has executed various related projects.

Dr. Haider Al-Jelawy is an associate Professor in the Department of Roads and the Transport Engineering university of Al-Qadisiyah. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Al-Qadisiyahin 2009 before completing his Master's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2013. He received his Ph.D. degree in Structural Engineering from university of Central Florida in 2017. In his dissertation, he developed a new design methodology for precast reinforced concrete columns with mechanical couplers employed in seismic regions. His principal research interests focus on the areas of large-scale structural testing, numerical modeling, rehabilitation of concrete structures with FRP composites, Utilizing UHPC in roads and bridges, and precast columns with mechanical couplers.

Dr. Neelam Rani has completed her M.Tech and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee). She is working as an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at DR B R Ambedkar NIT Jalandhar for the past three years. Her research area is Wind Engineering and CFD. She has actively guided research scholars and students at the Master's level while teaching Undergraduate students
