Gilles Courret completed his PhD at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in 1999. He has been a Professor of physics in the Department of Industrial Technologies of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (HES-SO) since 2013. His research interests include light sources, surface-plasma interaction, plasma chemistry and high-enthalpy fluid dynamics, with an emphasis on plasma diagnostic techniques and non-equilibrium plasma thermodynamics. He has published over 20 papers in reputed journals.

At Von Karman Institute For Fluid Dynamics in 1971, Dr. Curto assisted with the first experiments with a Mach 36 shock wind tunnel for the Space Shuttle orbiter, assisted with the first velocimetry experiments using lasers in a subsonic wind tunnel, and ran hypersonic Mach 4 experiments on a fluidic roll control system for Europa III, the forerunner of Ariane. As early as 1965, he aided the group that designed the NASA space suits for the Apollo Program. At Harry Diamond Labs in 1967 through 1973, during the Vietnam War, he helped design the improved M-16A1 rifle for the US Army, contributed to the earliest computer-aided designs for the Boeing 747, and worked on solid rocket thrust controls for NASA. In 1969, He wrote two Honors Program Theses, one on "Design for Urban Planning of the Megalopolis of Cities along the East Coast of the US by 2040", from Atlanta to Boston, and the second for the "Characteristics of Noise from Jets", which was done with dimensionless analysis so that any fluid could be modeled. It proved that masks are useless against COVID-19, as is social distancing. Later that year, his Master's thesis in Mechanical Engineering was approved for "Fluidic Controls for the Variable Geometry Inlet for The Supersonic Transport" that showed how to design the engines for the Boeing SST to become over 30% more efficient and also showed how to build a solid-state flueric control system that would work in a 800 C environment using diffusion-bonded titanium. At Gibbs and Hill in 1981, he designed variable speed turbomachinery for a solar power tower system. He has conducted research concerning Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion as a solution for global warming. In fact, he was aboard the first such vessel, the OTEC-1 in 1979. Dr. Curto’s research has looked into advanced materials for space applications, research in cross-linked aerogels (the lightest and strongest material known), research into the use of anhydrous ammonia as a replacement for fossil fuels, and the design of advanced solar-powered devices. He is recognized for over 20 years of lifetime achievements in both Who's Who in America and Who's Who in the World (2017).

Michael Wing is the director of the Aerial Information Systems Lab at Oregon State University (OSU)and an associate professor of geomatics in the Forest Engineering, Resources, and Management Department. His research interests include unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), remote sensing for landscape and land use measurement and analysis, decision support systems, and geographic information science. Dr. Wing has authored over 70 peer-reviewed research publications and is also registered as a professional engineer, land surveyor, and water rights examiner in Oregon. Dr. Wing teaches courses in UAS, GIS, and remote sensing.

Dr. Cristina Barrado is Computer Science Engineer with a Ph.D. in Computer Architecture for the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. Currently, she is a professor at this university, teaching computer programming, operating systems, air traffic management, data analytics, and big data. As a researcher, she has been participating in more than 25 projects. For the last 18 years, she is working in the ICARUS research group, designing UAVs with distributed payload architectures and remote fleet management, developing flight plans and new UAS missions, studying the integration of drones in the airspace at the very low level and in urban environments, with particular interest for those missions with high societal acceptance. Dr. Fahrettin Ozturk is currently the Executive Vice President, Manufacturing at Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazit University, Ankara, Turkey. Since 2016, he has served as the Vice President of the departments: Strategy and Technology Management, Prototype, R&D and Prototype, in addition as the Executive Vice President of R&D and Prototype, and Prototype at Turkish Aerospace. Dr. Ozturk received all his degrees in Mechanical Engineering. His undergraduate degree from Selcuk University, Konya, Turkey in 1992 (ranked first), M.Sc. from University of Pittsburgh, PA, USA in 1996, and Ph.D. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA in 2002. Dr. Ozturk worked as a part-time contractor for General Electric Research Center in the USA for 3 years. He has given consulting services and conducted projects for Automotive and Aerospace Industries in Turkey for 15 years. Dr. Ozturk worked at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), Nigde Omer Halisdemir University (formerly Nigde University), and Khalifa University (formerly The Petroleum Institute (PI)) prior to Turkish Aerospace Industries, Inc. I was B.Sc.
